While Tessa struggles to figure out how to help the woman she loves, Mariah’s attachment to Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor has not faded. In fact, it seems to be growing stronger. Mariah refused to go to Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and Victoria Newman Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) wedding with Tessa because of the baby. Mariah feared that Dominic might get sick again or could need her and wanted to be nearby.
With Abby facing Chance’s death and going on a downward spiral, Mariah is already questioning what’s best for Dominic.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Mariah, Tessa and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) took Dominic for a few hours. At the time, Abby was coping with new bombshell information about Chance Chancellor (formerly Donny Boaz). Tessa reminded Mariah that Dominic is still Abby’s baby, whether Chance is alive or not. Devon stood up for Abby and both of them questioned Mariah’s statements. The surrogate was told that she is making calls that are not hers to make.
It is teased that Mariah will put her foot down. Plus, Mariah admitted to Tessa that she can’t help but feel that she was supposed to be Dominic’s mother all along. As the situation spirals and Abby’s grief gets worse, Mariah could cross the line.

If Mariah continues to be fixated on Dominic, Abby’s downward spiral will only make this situation worse. Mariah could decide to try and take custody of Dominic, using Abby’s grief as a weapon. If this happens, as much as Tessa loves her, it will break them up. In fact, Tessa might even help Devon and Abby fight Mariah in a custody battle.

I just wish this storyline would go away. The baby looks like a block of wood. It has no movement at all. Only thing you hear is him crying. Devon seems to be getting too wrapped up in the baby situation also. Just an addon here that I probably shouldn't say but Mariah should never wear short skirts. She needs to clean herself up too. She needs a good scrub in the tub and a hair washing. She's starting to look like a homeless person.
I think as I have always thought, lesbians should not be portrayed on TV. Children watch this too. I hope Mariah gets custody and this story ENDS.
Mariah has a lot of nerve worrying that Abby might be going off the deep end when SHE’S getting loonier as each day goes by. Not your child, girlfriend! Back off, or the Newmans will certainly make you regret it.
Mariah and Tessa will break up over this and Tessa will end up with Noah.
I agree about the short skirts
I have always felt having Mariah as a surrogate was not a good idea… Especially when a mother carries a baby in her body and after what happened with Stitch (that was stupid) Mariah's motherly instincts were sure to come through… Now that Noah is back, we know the rest… Tessa and Noah….
Tessa and Mariah will probably break up and, Tessa will probably get back with Noah.
Kind of not so cool if that happens.
Actually I thought the baby looked like a big loaf of bread wrapped in a blanket. At least use a doll. They have so many that are lifelike.
Thats exactly what I said a few weeks back. You'd think this show would have enough budget to go get a doll from Walmart, I've seen some reall lifelike ones that are not expensive at all. I remember my mother being stopped in the street by friends think my doll was a new baby, so why can't this show pull off a lifelike baby!
Devon should get custody of his son. Mariah should realize she is not his mother and get professional help. Abby needs to grow up and stop acting like a spoiled, privileged child. A more realistic story would be Abby being diagnosed as having the mental age of a six year old.
I am getting so tired of Mariah and her bizarre behaviour. She was busy telling Devon and Tessa that living in Abby's home right now is toxic for the baby ..who is she kidding? Why aren't people telling her she needs to get help with whatever it is she is dealing with and leave Abby and Dominic to their family …she may be the god mother but the baby is Abby's not Mariah's and she has NO say in anything to with him ! Move that storyline along because it is getting very tedious!
funny thing is if anyone knows what Victor is capable of doing it is Mariah she knows what he did to her when she first came to town…he will stop at nothing to protect his daughter and her son !
Devon was nothing more than sperm donor he should not get custody he is no better in standing than Mariah …I like that he is there as the loving godfather/uncle there is NO need to have Devon insert himself into that !
So your saying Devons sperm has less rights than Abbys egg! This is being written that Devon has been respectful and tried to honor his agreement with Abby, Abby is being the one who drops the child like its just another trophy in her designer collection! Devon is quite right to be angry, anyone giving a friend such a precious gift should be grateful, not sticking it with the nanny having and running off to Spain like an idiot. Abby doesn't deserve and certainly doesn't seem to genuinely appreciate what Devon and Mariah have done for her. It's a baby not something Abby should act like part of her designer collection.
