Y&R spoilers reveal that Abby is having to deal with losing her husband. Even though fans have heard Chance Chancellor (formerly Donny Boaz) has been recast, the character is being declared dead. Abby was holding onto hope until Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) tries to help her accept Chance’s death. Christine does this by giving Abby a wedding band found at the scene of the explosion, which she confirms belonged to Chance.

Even though the baby belongs to Abby and Chance, Mariah is the one who carried that child. So, it is a complicated situation because Mariah can’t escape the feeling of being connected to the little boy. In fact, Mariah couldn’t go with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) to Victoria Newman Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) wedding. Mariah heard that the baby had the sniffles and couldn’t bear to be far away in case something else happened.
Mariah understands that the baby belongs to Abby. However, that doesn’t mean it’s easy for her to sever that connection. When she went to visit Abby, Mariah could sense that something was wrong. Mariah immediately ran into the house and frantically asked about the newborn. The baby was fine but Abby was waiting for an update on Chance.

It is confirmed in Soap Opera Digest that Abby’s situation will continue to get worse. It is also stated that Abby makes unexpected decisions as she struggles to cope. Abby recently told Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that she ran out of the house because the baby is so sensitive to her moods.
As Abby struggles with losing Chance, could she decide that it’s better for the baby to be elsewhere? I am so sick of Mariah. She needs to go, far far away and NOW. Let Ashley and Nina help with the baby. Mariah needs to stay away and give her space. Feel really bad for Tessa too
I agree Mariah needs to stay away from the baby. I think that should put her in a mentle health facility, to get help.
Mariah needs to be asked not to come over every day and back to back visits. Her milk is no longer needed, She'll never get over this if she doesn't distance herself from the baby.
Mariah needs to butt out. The baby belongs to Abby now. It’s not fair to Abby that Mariah is always there. In a perfect world this would not happen!

It was obvious where this story was heading from the get go, spoiled, sniveling Abby and Mariah obsessed with a baby she promised to carry and give away. Only sanity is Devon and poor Tessa, time to move on, enough with Mariahs delusional behavior and Abbys constant blubbering. Stick the silver spoon in the kids mouth with his too many pretentious last names and move on.
Do not let Mariah get her way!! That would be a terrible mistake!! She would not able to let baby go for sure if she is allowed to take baby from Abby. They're others that can take care of baby other than Mariah..
I think the story line is ridiculous ! abby might be grief stricken temporarily but she has a mother and a wonderful loving Aunt and Father who would move heaven and earth for her she doesn't need Mariah come in and demand anything.. Mariah needs extensive therapy to deal with whatever this is post partum maybe? Or she just wants that baby who isn't hers and by demanding when Abby is grieving is ridiculous ! Move on to something else because this baby fetish of Mariah's is getting boring and very tedious

Please get Mariah a man for a boy friend and let her carry another baby and name it Bowie. I am over this. Also Abby should have waited until her husband come home before deciding on a baby. She can't take care of herself and now she has a baby (football wrapped in a blanket). Please do something with this storyline.
