Abby refuses to accept Chance is gone and explains that if he were dead, she would feel it in her heart.

However, Abby is in for a horrifying shock when she is shown photos from the explosion. There is one photo in particular that rocks Abby to the core. When she sees the picture, Abby completely breaks down and collapses. It is at this point that Abby is forced to admit that Chance is dead.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Ordway spoke to Soap Opera Digest about the storyline. The actress explained that this whole situation makes Abby lose it a bit and she is on the brink of “going crazy.” When she finally has to accept that Chance is dead, how bad will her mental state get?

Abby is already struggling as she can’t seem to take care of the baby on her own. Abby doesn’t connect with the baby as a mother should. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) are usually on Abby’s speed dial as she gets help from them. Abby even has trouble coping with the baby crying or not going to sleep. Plus, she is exhausted and stressed. Chance’s death will only add to the load and could be too much for Abby.

Mariah can’t seem to separate herself from the maternal instinct she feels for the child. Mariah even came up with an idea that she and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) could have their own child. After learning about Chance, Mariah drops the idea, though. If Abby goes crazy and is unable to take care of the baby boy, will she hand the child over to Mariah and Devon? If so, what happens when Abby recovers from her grief and wants the baby back?

      Give the baby to Mariah and move on..Abby spends way to much time whining, complaining, wimpering ,,bawling,,and going nuts around the baby..Being a mother is not her cup of tea..She should get a goldfish instead..poor goldfish..

      I totally agree. I think in my pea brain that maybe Noah and Tessa will get back together and that would leave Mariah free to have the baby. Whatever happens let's get it done and over with.

      I'm so bored of this story. They should have killed Chance off long ago. That baby never moves. I think its just a block of wood. The whole bunch of them need a wakeup call.

      Abby got the last Chance fired because she is so scared of covid. She need to quit and stay home. Maybe then we can see the baby Bowie instead of the blanket with the blue beanie cap
