The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Melissa Claire Egan’s (Chelsea Lawson) announcement of her real-life pregnancy sets her expected delivery date for August. She gave birth to her and her husband’s son, Caden, in August 2021.

Fans know that Chelsea has no current plans for another child. Instead, she continues living with her most recently born son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), and is bonding with her firstborn son, Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind). Billy saved Chelsea’s life on the rooftop of the Grand Phoenix hotel. His quick thinking and bravery prevented a tragedy, with Chelsea fully regretting what happened.

Chelsea’s return to health has been aided, in large part, by the deepening friendship she and Billy are establishing.

Egan’s debut on the show dates back to 2011. Chelsea appeared as a grifter, who Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) paid to trap Billy (then played by Billy Miller).

Victor’s efforts succeeded, with Chelsea becoming pregnant, as planned, and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) realizing a betrayal. Billy and Victoria divorced but remarried shortly thereafter.

Billy and Chelsea were never in love. Egan’s character did not feel ready to be a mother and allowed Victoria to adopt Johnny. Billy’s son was raised by Victoria and only recently learned who his birth mother was.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson Has Another Child?

One way for TPTB to expand the bond Chelsea and Billy are exploring would be for her to have another of Billy’s children. This pairing has been trending toward couples’ status, so this type of storyline would be believable.

Egan expects her second child to be born in August. Soaps record approximately one month in advance. Assuming Egan takes paternity leave, as actors naturally do, Chelsea could be temporarily written out or away from Genoa City, Wisconsin, later this summer or possibly by early fall.

There are many ways to shoot around pregnancy, and Egan will soon be showing. So, fans will be watching to see if Chelsea becomes pregnant with Billy’s child. Although, her enduring tie to Adam means he can never be dismissed as the potential father on Y&R.
