‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Michael Stunned By Kevin’s News – Works To Keep Brother Out Of Jail

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) knew that Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) was in trouble. Then, sure enough, after denying he was, all was admitted to his lawyer brother.

Kidnapping Phyllis Summers (as then played by Gina Tognoni) was very chipmunk like. As Michael and longtime Y&R fans recall, Kevin has veered away from reality in days gone by. His past pairing with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) sometimes served to devolve Kevin even further, but also produced a wonderful little girl named Bella Mitchell (Cali May Kinder).

It’s not that Kevin hadn’t made progress in recent years, but Michael suspected that something was amiss when his Portland, Oregon-based brother returned to town for questionable reasons. Not bringing Bella, who was supposed to be motherless, was also a mega red flag.

Kevin explained away his solo trip to Genoa City, Wisconsin, with some gibberish. But when trailed to the location where he thought Phyllis still was, Kevin realized that it was better to tell his brother all that’s happened since Chloe was said to have died.

Chloe is alive, having never departed the earth as Khloe and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) wanted everyone to believe. That comes as a shock to Michael, but can be stacked with all of the many unusual incidents Kevin has willingly involved himself in through the years.

Long past the terrible Tom Fisher (Roscoe Born) era, where Kevin was kept in a closet by his father for having supposedly done wrong, Michael stopped allowing Gloria Simmons Abbott Bardwell’s (Judith Chapman) other son to use real childhood trauma as justification for modern day actions.

Speaking of Chapman, hopefully Y&R’s current retro casting spree allows Chapman to reprise her great character. Glo easily ranks with the show’s best personalities since she first joined the cast, which took place in 2005.

It would be easy to write back Jabot’s lead administrative assistant, as Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) now stands at the helm and seemingly needs to fill that slot. Plus, it’s obvious that Kevin needs his mother’s input. Say whatever one likes about Gloria, but her maternal instincts are fierce.

Young And The Restless Spoilers: Judith Chapman and Greg Rikaart Have Worked Together Before

Interestingly, Chapman and Rikaart recently played a mother-son duo on one of daytime’s other beloved steamers, Days of our Lives. She played Diana Cooper, who was the mother of Leo Stark, which was Rikaart’s DOOL alter ego.

Various situations are fluid on Y&R. So, Kevin’s kidnapping scheme may not necessarily result in him going to jail. And the conflict with Adam, where he’s holding Chloe now feels more likely, than not, to be resolved because of Michael’s inclusion in the plot.
