Y&R spoilers reveal that co-executive producer and head writer Josh Griffith spoke to Soap Opera Digest about the 2022 preview. The scribe confirmed that Ashland has lied about something to Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle). Ashland should have told Victoria the truth when he had the opportunity before they tied the knot. However, this particular secret Ashland kept to himself, but it’s going to come out soon.
“For Ashland Locke, the New Year means new secrets when it’s revealed that he may not have been entirely honest with Victoria when he had the chance before their wedding.”

Right now, Ashland is telling Victoria, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that the Peru cancer treatment is working. The cancer has not spread and that’s a huge success since Ashland was supposed to be dead by now.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Ashland talked to Nate about the Peru treatment. When Nate did some research, he didn’t seem too optimistic. So, he will be thrilled for his friend. At the same time, Nate will want to check out the treatment for himself.
If this treatment is curing Ashland’s cancer, then Nate will want to help bring it to the United States. However, the FDA approving treatments is an extremely complicated and lengthy process. At the very least, Nate will want to send cancer patients in Genoa City to Peru in order to save their lives.
Y&R Spoilers – Scam Discovered
Nate could discover that there is a reason that Ashland has found a miracle cure. It’s possible that the entire treatment is a scam. When Ashland first mentioned this treatment, he pushed Nate into researching it. Ashland could have had his own doctors do their research, but he wanted Nate specifically to check it out.

What Ashland might not be counting on is for Nate to be interested in this treatment for patients at the hospital. When Nate really looks deeper into the Peru cancer cure, he could find out some disturbing information. If Nate learns it’s a scam and Ashland is the ringleader, he will want to know why. Nate will also feel compelled to tell Victoria the truth, but will Ashland stop that from happening? How far will he go to keep his secret?

I hope Adam finds out the truth and go to his father about saving Newman Enterprises. In other words, save Victoria's behind. She needs to stop being a spoiled brat and accept the fact that she is not as smart as her brother, Adam. Her father needs to take her down a notch or two. Let Adam be the bigger person and tell Victoria that he is not interested in running Newman Enterprises since he got Newman Media. Let Adam run the story on Ashland's fake cancer and his other lies before Billy Boy Abbott. Nick and Victoria needs to get some business skills before they lose everything they have.

Completely agree, its no good having other cast of characters keep saying these women are clever and then writing their actual actions as completely silly. I had hopes Lilly would be an intelligent influence on Billy. His character badly needed a relationship to turn his story into a positive phase for a change. I hoped Victoria would actually find a match in Ashland and they both be clever enough to do deals without all this childish vendetta against Adam and backstabbing her father. It doesn't feel like the writers are capable of writing mature corporate intrigue.
