The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nick & Phyllis Fail - Adam Jailed, Chelsea Turns To Nick - 'Chick 2.0' ?The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) pattern of ending his relationships with the women who’ve had his children appears primed to repeat. Even though he and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) just recently began telling the world, which means those in Genoa City, Wisconsin, that they’re back together, this fresh version of Phick is problematic.

Any relationship with Phyllis can be considered shaky if one chooses to focus on her alone. Instead, informed viewers know that Nick’s history with two particular women he claims to love is strongly checkered.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sharon Newman Was Wronged

Phyllis took Nick from Sharon Newman (Sharon Case)? No, that’s possibly half the story, with Morrow’s character arguably being more responsible than Phyllis for destroying Shick.

The once great couple, that ruled one of Y&R’s major storylines, off and on, from the mid-1990’s through the mid-2000’s ended ugly. That happened because Nick wasn’t able to properly handle is emotions when Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) tragically died.

Nick opened himself to Phyllis’ overtures and allowed a pursuit of Red to take hold. Cassie’s grieving mother was abandoned by her husband, which crushed Sharon on many levels, deeply impacting her mental health.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phick Runs Hot And Cold

There’s no doubt that Phick was different than Shick. The development of both couples happened through varied circumstances. With Phyllis, impulse passion was key, whereas the connection with Shick was part of a progressive love story.

Nick has children with two women, as the late Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan) had Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) with Adam Newman (as then played by Justin Hartley).

Sharon is the mother of Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) and Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) and Phyllis is Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) mother. So, it’s fair to claim that Nick’s deepest relationships are with both of these ladies.

But the above implies something significant about another person who hasn’t yet been referenced, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson In Her Own Category

Chelsea touched Nick’s heart in a way that Sharon and Phyllis never did. This isn’t to say that she holds a larger place in his heart than the other characters. Instead, her uniqueness indicates existing potential.

Nick’s decided to end Chick a handful of months ago because he recognized that Chelsea still loved Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and wanted to reform the Chadam family. This choice was made without venom and hasn’t been followed by bitterness, which contrasts with how versions of Shick and Phick generally ended.

Adam’s emerging legal issues could put him behind bars. With that Chelsea may naturally feel the need to turn to Nick, as he remains a trusted confidant. Then, Chick sequel buzz would build.

I prefer Chelsea with Adam because he is the love of his life. Why are the writers trying to make like Nick and Chelsea had something special the only reason Chelsea came back was because Adam was in town . Nick and Chelsea playing house with their children is boring. Chelsea shines when she is with Adam. Nick can stay with Phyllis who care . I enjoy Adam and Chelsea together I hope the writers get it right this time Nick should never have been with Chelsea. Adam and Chelsea plus Connor are a family !

    Neither!
Phyllis is too manly and dressed too much like a drag queen. Nick is casual and sporty. It is not believable at all that he would want someone as nasty as Phyllis in his life. Phyllis turns Nicks character and story into something too far fetched to watch, even for a soap. Nick and Phyllis are as believable as Victor and Ester getting together. At least that would be amusing.

Chelsea, oh dear, I have said it before and I will say it again. Beautiful actress, likeable but OMG so boring when she gets with a guy!!! Nick and Adam both became sofa sitting, kiddy cooing, snooze fests every time, which is too many already. I would treat their scenes like a commercial break and get a refreshment or fast forward, it got to be so monotonous! Chelsea should have stayed with Calvin, that had some story potential before the writers wasted that opportunity and killed him off.
