The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Phyllis And Nick Are Really Over

The Young And The Restless: Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was pushed out of Phick. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) repeated a pattern that has been seen by devoted viewers before. He overthinks reality and transforms it into something that does not exist.

Nick’s problem is that he exacerbates issues. So, in the case of Phick, Nick decided that all was not well between him and Phyllis. That was somewhat true.

Phyllis was not the cause of this break. Phick was fine by her until recent weeks when Nick became overly involved in family drama that did not directly involve him. That was Nick’s mistake.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Noah Newman Offers Perspective

Noah Newman’s (Rory Gibson) return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, should serve as an eventual source of consolation for Nick. Morrow’s character and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), her last name at the time, had Noah when they were young.

So, Noah is not chronologically far apart from his parents. Noah has been providing advanced, adult-level advice to Nick and Sharon for several years.

Noah has experienced more than Shick’s other children and took responsibility in dealing with and resolving the many family and personal issues they have faced through the years. Nick stands to benefit from his son’s input again if he allows him to help.

Y&R Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Not The Right Match?

Sharon believes that Phyllis has never been the right match for Nick. That view is expected, based on how Shick ended many years ago.

As hardcore fans recall, Sharon and Nick were split when Phick formed. That happened through the fallout of Cassie Newman’s (Mariah Grimes) tragic death.

Y&R’s long-term strategic decision involved killing Cassie off to split Sharon and Nick. The intent of sending both legacy characters on different extended arcs, meaning years, was achieved.

Phyllis was positioned as Sharon’s enemy and the person who Shick fans will always blame for ending one of the show’s young families. However, Phyllis did not act alone. Nick used his free will to roam.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Newman Seeks Instability

Nick appears to feel most comfortable when he is challenging the so-called status quo. That stance is projected through his rejection of Newman Enterprises corporate structure, his inability to remain married, and through the various family squabbles that were not major issues before he chose to believe insurmountable problems existed.

The return to Phyllis in the recent past may represent, in retrospect, Nick’s subconscious self-sabotage. He knew that Phick would not work but still chose to revive that coupling.

Planned obsolescence is a business phrase that means a company produces a product with the intent of it wearing out and then needing to be replaced by customers. Phick appears to fit that intent in Nick’s mind on Y&R.
