The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates reveals the soap world is buzzing with the news that the role of Phillip Chancellor IV has been recast. There has been no official confirmation from Y&R execs so fans should brace themselves. The new hire might be a different character.

The rumors could be true, and Conner Floyd will turn out to be the husband of Abby Newman Chancellor (Melissa Ordway). Chance Chancellor (last Donny Boaz) may finally return to Genoa City to his wife and baby son. This is what many Y&R fans have been hoping for, ever since the news came about the bombing. There is also a possibility that Flynn may have been hired as a different character.

Donny Boaz announced in December 2020 that he was recovering from COVID. Ordway’s husband, Justin Gaston stepped into the role when Chance and Abby were married on New Year’s Eve. Viewers observed the chemistry between the couple, and some said they hoped Gaston might be given the role. The actor even said he would be happy to continue as Chance but was not offered the opportunity.
Y&R does not pair real-life couples together long-term on screen as is evident with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as well as Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). In February it was announced that Boaz had been fired and the role would not be recast.

Conner Floyd is an actor and writer, known for Witnesess (2019), Unsubscribe (2020) and, Malicious Motives (2021). If he does not portray Chance perhaps he could be a love interest for Abby down the road. Some fans of the CBS soap have been saying they suspect Noah Newman’s (Rory Gibson) heart was broken by a man so Floyd could be a new romance for him. He might also be the London lover who shows up in Genoa City.

I hope he's going to be playing Chance because I'm so tired of snot faced, blubbering 30+ Abby both acting and being treated like an infant. For goodness sake writers let this character grow up!! What's wrong with this writing team, they seem incapable of writing most of this cast of characters like Adults! Abby, Nick and Billy are all almost or are middle aged but being portrayed like teenagers. Actually that's insulting to teenagers because there are plenty much more mature than these characters! Writers use Faith, Moses, Maddy and Charlie if you want to write immature sniveling, horny indecisive relationships and immaturity to yet be able to grasp the errors of actions. For goodness sake let these 30 to 40 year olds act their age. Its not doing these fan favorite characters and actors any favours keeping them in perpetual adolescence.
I think Abby's husband Chance will be fine and won't be killed off. On Facebook and on here I seen so much not nice words pointed at Abby 456 she is worried have a heart will

Abby is a fine actress and TPTB should be more responsible and respectful of her. Let Connor Floyd be Chance for pity sake! Quit be so Flipper toward Abby ya'll !!!!
Why can't Noah have a loving gf?
I am so tired of Abby not having her happy ever after. I also should think Noah should get a gf.

Noah should have a girl friend that fall in love with him. They need to write a love between Noah & her that match no other. So Y/R will have alive like they had from the old school. They kind that last forever.
Nick is hurting on 3 fronts: Nick is jealous of Adam because Adam is Daddy's Right Hand man; he is still angry with Victoria for marrying the man she loves; he is upset with Phyllis because playtime is over(no more fun and games!) Let Adam be Victor's go-to guy;Victoria should make her own choices and live with the consequences (whatever they might be); and Phyllis needs to be like a Mafia wife and stay out of the family "business". She and Nick would get along a lot better. But we know this is not going to happen and Jack is waiting to pick up the pieces!
The Y & R writers have written themselves into a corner with the Abby, Chance, and Baby storyline. I'm curious to see how they are going to resolve Abby's situation: a MIA or dead husband and a baby that doesn't seem to be growing and developing at all and her own constant crying. Nothing to do but stay tuned!

I really couldn't agree more.Abby dosen't even play a mother good mom.it was stupid this story is dumb wow get married and gotta have someone carry a baby nine months and now anytime mariah holds the baby abby and everyone gets her to do something else but yet all devon did is deposit sperm and he gets more access to baby you right it sucks

Whiney crybaby Abby dont need a husband..Let her and the trailer park take care of the baby crying brat kid…We got a gay Noah returning and some goofie looking creep to replace Chance is a waste of show time..No disrespect, but Abby is a loser like Victoria when it comes to men…The writers need to change up whats not working and this Chance crap and bawling baby and whiney Abby is annoying..
