The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Just Doing What’s Right – Diane’s The Real Threat

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) continues to receive heavy backlash no matter which way she turns. The chides from Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier), and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) have varied from unjustified to overly harsh.

Phyllis told Jack that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) would cause trouble for him and his family. Jack refuses to accept that proved true. Summer has come around on that plot point but is pivoting to chiding her about a developing issue.

Daniel is estranged from Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant). Phyllis hopes to remedy that with a trip intended to spark their return to Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Readers of this comprehensive soap site know that Bloom is reprising the role she once played (2007-2010). Daniel and Heather were said to be involved in a romantic relationship while they were away from town but were not engaged or married.

Fans of this comprehensive soap site also know O’Briant is assuming the SORAS’d (soap opera rapid aging syndrome) the role of Daniel’s daughter. Lucy was last seen in 2013 when Phyllis’ first-born grandchild was just a baby.

Teasers indicate that Heather and Lucy will be seen on-screen in February.

Y&R Spoilers – Daniel Romalotti And Summer Newman Abbott Should Offer Respect

Daniel’s relationship with his mother was broken on many occasions. His adopted father, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), offers the most positive example of how to get past differences with Phyllis.

Damian’s recent, brief return to the cast included scenes with Stafford and Graziadei. Danny focused on the shared love and support he and Phyllis have for their son. Danny also informed his true love, Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell), that he learned to get along with Phyllis and focus on her strengths.

Daniel just returned home after a long absence. Summer returned home from Italy with her husband and adopted son. Phyllis’ children need to respect her rather than play off past grudges they or others have with their mother.

Phyllis has come a long way over the years. No longer is she the groupie who chased Danny. She is not the hit-and-run driver who mowed down Cricket and Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) with no remorse.

Stafford’s character is also not the woman who made Danny believe Daniel was his son. Instead, Phyllis is the phoenix.

Her rise from the ashes and realized respectability is genuine. Jack, Summer, and Daniel may not see it yet. But Phyllis has merely been seeking to protect their interests on Y&R.
