The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victoria Made A Corporate Takeover By Buying Out 75% Of Phyllis’ Hotel Debt

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that several weeks ago Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) was livid when she found out that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) had bought out 75% of her hotel debt, and she bought the debt. Phyllis had used The Grand Phoenix as collateral, which basically means Victoria now owns 75% of the hotel.

She found out when she had unforeseen cash problems and was unable to find a solution. She had stormed into Victoria’s office, the CEO office at Newman Enterprises, and demanded answers. Previously, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) had known of the transaction and had warned Victoria that it could cause Newman’s family problems since Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was back with Phyllis. Victoria blew her off, saying Nick wouldn’t care because it was just business!

Victoria was proven wrong, but Nick was put into the position of being between his lover and his sister, which is not a place he wanted to be! He offered to clear the debt for Phyllis by buying back Victoria’s stake in the hotel, but she declined his offer. However, he did confront Victoria with both barrels for going after Phyllis! Nick forced Phyllis and Victoria to find a way to work with each other to make the Grand Phoenix a success. Phyllis, of course, began to connive!

Y&R Spoilers – Phyllis Came Up With A Plan For The Business Roundtable Guests To Join The Escape Club Or The Spa

Phyllis, livid that Victoria had offered a cut-rate to a business roundtable with many guests, told Nick everything. Even Nikki had disagreed with Victoria’s plan – the hotel would hemorrhage money! Nikki questioned how that would be a good thing seeing Newman Enterprises now owned 75% of the hotel. Victoria said the loss would be negligible compared to the publicity it would garner for the hotel, plus she’d gain the invaluable experience of watching Phyllis squirm! Nick thought Victoria had come up with the plan since it would cause the hotel to lose money, therefore spiting Phyllis.

Victoria and Phyllis argued some more, putting Nick in the uncomfortable position of being a referee. Finally, Phyllis came up with a plan that Victoria agreed on – to tell the businessmen to invite their significant others, so the hotel could recoup money through the spa or the Escape Club. Then she said that they could throw a party afterward, complete with a local DJ and catering. Phyllis had called Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to book some acts as Victoria offered to contact her public relations department. Nick was surprised to see the two women finally cooperating!

Phyllis hoped the businessmen and their significant others would have the time of their lives, and the hotel would gain repeat business through their word of mouth. But one thing Victoria was probably counting on when she agreed that neither Nick nor Phyllis realized, was that Phyllis’ grand scheme would cost much more money than she bargained for, and she could foreclose on the hotel to get back her investment!
