‘Shadam’ was an intense couple that eventually gave way to a stronger one in ‘Chadam’. However, Chelsea’s multiple rejections, following Adam’s return to the living last spring, made him turn to Sharon, as he’s just done again.

Vilasuso’s character is a good guy and someone who almost assuredly would provide Sharon will long-term stability.
Unless Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) comes forward with proof that she lied about her newborn’s paternity, Rey is going to stay in GC and maintain Sharon as the center of his personal life.
Simply coming into contact with Adam on a regular basis, as Sharon will now do by helping Connor, creates the potential for ‘Shadam’s’ revisit, or even revival. Adam has power over Sharon that she knows exists, which is why Case’s character has never fully cut him off.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Common Interests Renew Bond
Sharon shares a much deeper history with Adam and also the similarity of parental experience. Rey doesn’t stack in that key category, which is what Adam is mining this time around.
To be clear, Adam is sincere in believing that Sharon was helping Connor and can continue to help his son make progress. Even though Grossman’s character is also being honest about dropping Newman vendettas in order to put Connor’s needs first, his mind is still calculating.
Adam actually does have a soft spot for Sharon in his occasionally present heart.
