The Young and The Restless Spoilers: Robert Parucha Reprises Role On Y&R, Victor’s Brother Back in GC

Robert Parucha is returning n “The Young and the Restless” as Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) brother during the week of February 17. The actor will return as his character joins the celebration for Newman Enterprises’ 50th anniversary. The event is actually a tribute for Victor’s character, Eric Braeden, who is celebrating his 40th anniversary on the show.

Parucha joined the soap back in 1983 and portrayed his character until 1985. He was last seen on the small screen in 2003. The actor isn’t the only one who’s returning to the soap for the special tribute. Robert Adamson will reprise his role as Victor’s grandson, Noah Newman while Meg Bennett returns as Victor’s first wife, Julia Newman.

Parucha’s other acting credits include “The Days of Our Lives” where he played Eddie Reed, “Dynasty,” “Emerald Point N.A.S.,” “Baywatch,” “Santa Barbara,” “The Client,” and “High Incident.”

Who Is Matt Miller?

As mentioned earlier, Matt Miller is Victor’s younger brother. The character was previously portrayed by Parucha before Robert Gleason took over the role. However, during the three-episode tribute, it’ll be Parucha who’ll play the part.

For a brief recap, Matt was the son of Cora Miller (Dorothy MacGuire) and Albert Newman (George Kennedy). When the latter left, Cora decided to place Matt’s brother, Christian, the former name of Victor, in an orphanage. Victor eventually reconciled with his family and Matt was appointed to take care of one of his companies in Brazil.

Then, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) used Matt to break up Ashley and Victor but it was too late. Victor left Ashley after finding out that Nikki was dying. Not long after, Matt offered to marry Ashley when she found out that she was pregnant. However, she decided to have an abortion instead.

Eric Braeden’s 40th Anniversary Celebration

“The Young and the Restless” will pay tribute to its iconic male lead, Eric Braeden, for his 40-year legacy in daytime television. The soap is airing special episodes from Tuesday, February 18 through Thursday, February 20. During this time, viewers will be treated with clips of the actor’s memorable episodes, which some dating as far back as 1980.

The actor has appeared in more than 3,000 episodes of “The Young and the Restless.” He said, “I am enormously grateful to the writers and my fellow actors, and most importantly to Bill Bell.”

For those who didn’t know, the actor almost left the show several times in the past. But there was a time when the show’s head writer and co-creator, the late William J. Bell, created a backstory for Victor, which convinced Braeden to stay.

“The moment we played that, I said to myself, ‘Now I stay’,” the actor recalled.
