Nick Newman might be a lot of different things for a lot of different people, but if there’s one thing that everyone can agree on, it’s that he’s managed to maintain good and respectful relationships with all of his former lovers and exes. You can’t say that about everyone in Genoa City, right? Nick and Sharon Newman get along so well, that one can only wonder why they haven’t gotten back together again. Perhaps a ‘friends with benefits’ relationship might work out for them?

While there’s no doubt that Nick has been with a lot of different women in Genoa City, the same can be said about Sharon Newman, as well. But despite all of the ups and downs that they’ve had, even Sharon would agree that her best relationship and marriage happened to be with Nick. Sure, they might have pulled the cord on their union for a reason, but who is to say that things wouldn’t work out even better for them the second time around, right?

On paper, Sharon Newman and Rey Rosales certainly look like the perfect couple. They are hot, they are good looking and they have enough chemistry and fire between them light the entire Newman Ranch on fire. But for one reason or another, Sharon and Rey just don’t click. In fact, Sharon keeps pushing Rey away for a good reason. And that reason is she’s still thinking long and hard about the possibilities of a future with her one true love, Nick Newman.

As much as Nick is enjoying this new romance with Phyllis right now, if there’s anything that history has taught us over the years, it’s that these two are as cold as they are hot! In fact, some The Young and the Restless fans don’t even believe that Phyllis and Nick will last through the end of the summer, let alone this year. Plus, many fans would agree: there’s more chemistry between Nick and Sharon than there is between Nick and Phyllis. Soon enough, ‘Phick’ will ‘phizzle’ out.

Like many, The Young and the Restless fans know, Sharon Newman is fighting against one of the biggest battles she’s ever had to deal with: cancer. Even though Sharon insists that she wants to deal with this on her own, her closest friends and family members have been rallying around her, giving her all of the love and support that she needs right now.

That, of course, also includes Nick Newman. Even though he’s supposed with Phyllis right now, there’s no denying that he would drop everything in a heartbeat to be with Sharon if she needed him, right? Watch this space because we have a feeling that there’s so much more to come.

I like them together but maybe it’s time for them to move on.
Nick is a great co-parent with Sharon. He also respects the relationship Sharon has with Rey. He will stand back and let Sharon lead her life without interfering. Sure hope the writers don’t put Sharon back with Nick!!
I think many of us like this idea of enduring love. Hallmark has run a successful film franchise on most of it’s stories being based on it. The first love, the one you could never completely get over. Many fans would love this for Nick and Sharon, only to be disappointed time and again.
It’s remarkable most of us can still believe Sharon is the love of Nicks life, despite his ability to tell just about every female in town he’s in love with her after about 5 seconds.
Sharon and Nick are the original Lola and Kyle, fans loved them and wanted them to make it work. We wanted to see them overcome their fights and struggles. We wanted them to resist the temptation of jumping into bed with someone the moment something went wrong. Their stories could have had some more interesting drama, fun, happy occasions. The adultery was just a cheap and lazy writing to move on. Not all characters are boring if they don’t sleep around. Personally I would write Nick and Sharon doing the dance, the will they won’t they, the chase is always more interesting. Nicks character is always better with Sharon just as Kyle’s character is much better and more interesting with Lola.
