The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Cassie Newman’s Death Was Monumental

Cassie’s death is arguably the most controversial decision in Y&R’s storied history. Available information indicates that TPTB made that choice because new directions were desired for Case and Morrow’s characters.

Grimes is rightly seen as one of if not the best child actors who have ever been part of the cast. In a nod to the fans, Grimes reappeared many times as Cassie’s kind spirit, helping to comfort Sharon and Nick.

But the audience was thrilled when Grimes (Mariah Copeland) was re-hired as a regular cast member in 2014 as Cassie’s unknown identical twin. Linking the actor’s return to Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) attempt to gaslight Sharon added soapy flair to this heralded cast revival.

Y&R Spoilers – All Elements Are In Place

Sharon and Nick romantically reconnected on more than one occasion since divorcing in 2006. Yes, it has been sixteen years in real-time and longer in soap-time since one of Y&R’s greatest couples was married.

But the writing staff was not tasked with reuniting Sharon and Nick through to remarriage. They twice made it to the altar only to have their reunion attempts fail.

This time feels different. Both people are more mature. They are also single and have no other current romantic interests.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – What Could Slow Or Stop A Full Revival?

Fans who want to see this couple remarry are holding their breath. The return of a former love for Sharon, Nick, or both would be an obvious warning sign.

Short of the above, it would seem that the only people who could stop a full revival would be the pair in question. Sharon and Nick have remained a part of each other’s lives through their children. But they have not been in love in a while.

Projecting a renewal of love before the year’s end is reasonable at this stage of their lives and in consideration of recent events. A remarriage by next year is plausible, and that assumes it is desired by Y&R’s decision-makers.
