Summer Newman (Hunter King) believes that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) is pining for Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He often deflects that repeated accusation by counter-punching.

Theo believes that Summer wants to reconcile with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). ‘Skyle’ ran hot and cold during its fractured tenure and the history between both characters makes Theo’s point a stronger one than Summer’s.

However, being that this is Genoa City, Wisconsin, it’s fair to wonder how strongly ‘Kola’ will be tested in the new year? The telegraphed outcome may not be a simple clear win, or a loss. Rather, a head-fake to the audience is an option.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Lola Abbott Is Fond Of Theo Vanderway

At this point in the storyline, Lola feels sorry for Theo. He’s alone in GC, despite the fact that a newfound part of his family lives there.

Theo appears to have developed his infatuation with Lola during the time that he and Summer were together. Not purely a play against his rival cousin, or fully a pure crush, Theo’s feelings appear genuine.

The above scenario represents a threat, which Kyle recognizes. He knows Theo’s New York history and what happened earlier this year. Kyle also fears that Lola and Summer remain vulnerable to Theo’s tactics and the Jabot is jeopardized by having him work in social media marketing.

‘Kola’ happened because Kyle and Lola have been in love with each other for awhile. They worked hard to create and sustain their relationship, making it to the altar with no hardened issues between them.

Sure, working closely with Kyle at Jabot allows a friendship to be maintained. But Theo is right when he says that Summer is still into Kyle and she knows it.

There’s nothing that Summer and Theo will be able to do if Kyle and Lola decide to keep the other two characters referenced at bay. This could result in a ‘Tummer’ reconciliation.

Seasoned soap fans know that drama rules daytime. So, the likelihood of ‘Kola’ living out their days in wedded bliss seem scant. If this endearing couple calls it quits at some point in 2020, then someone will have made a major mistake.

Summer and Theo are all about drama. So Y&R could create a twist by having this couple marry and have a child, thereby also making them a duo to root for.
