Thanksgiving is a time to count one’s blessings on ‘The Young and the Restless’, or it should be. But Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) deep concerns about her son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), and the position she’s in, between two brothers, makes this holiday a troubling time for her. Chelsea simply wishes for Connor to be okay.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is happy with his turkey day, as he has his son and the love of his life back under the penthouse roof. For him, thanks can be offered.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has a growing sense of uncertainty. He’s feared that Chelsea would rebound to Adam. With the one-time ‘Chadam’ family living together, it’s fair for Nick to wonder if ‘Chick’ will soon be done?

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Consequences Following Calvin Boudreau’s Demise

Calvin Boudreau (John Burke) was a good husband to Chelsea and stepfather to Connor, when Adam was presumed dead. But, as Chelsea and the viewers learned, he apparently involved himself with some shady characters.

Simon Black’s (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) arrival in Genoa City, Wisconsin, not only created chaos, it also impacted Connor’s psyche. The emotional reverberations ‘Chadam’s’ son is enduring now has Chelsea and Connor dealing with his principal suggesting home school.

So, the plan is for Chelsea to live with Connor and Adam at the penthouse until Mackey’s character demonstrates that he’s healed. There’s no way to determine a time frame for this fix, which puts ‘Chick’ in flux.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman On The Upswing

Adam was at his lowest point prior to when Connor jumped off the jungle gym and broke his arm. But the series of events his son’s reactionary and reckless behavior caused resulted in Adam moving much closer to his personal goals than seemed possible earlier this fall.

Grossman’s reinvigorated character expected Chelsea to be thrilled that he’d regained his memory. Together they would restart their life, with Connor, where it left off in September of 2016. But that didn’t happen, as Chelsea said Adam wasn’t the man he used to be. Nick was her chosen family man.

The cabin blast is a distant memory now, with plenty of drama playing out since. Interestingly, the momentum that’s occurring seems to be fully working in Adam’s favor. So he’s currently very thankful.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Newman Won’t Bow Out

Nick loves Chelsea and still plans on raising Connor and Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) with her. That’s hard to do now that half the equation is with Adam in the setting where ‘Chadam’s’ greatest hits were played.

Giving up isn’t on Nick’s mind. Instead, he’s practicing patience. He’s thankful that all isn’t lost, but knows that a fight lies ahead as Thanksgiving arrives.
