The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Dr. Hedges Returns

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) forced Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) to confess to the thallium poisoning of Detective Rey Rosales, (Jordi Vilasuso) with the threat of taking her and Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) son Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) away from her. Victor gave her an alternative, however – either prison or a mental facility.

To that end, Victor had invited District Attorney Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Rey to Adam’s penthouse, along with a psychiatrist he had paid off, Dr. Hedges, played by Michael Bofshever. Chelsea faked a psychotic break in front of Rey and Michael and then called in Dr. Hedges to assess her mental state.

When Chelsea then became hysterical to the point of being out of control, Dr. Hedges pretended to give her a sedative shot and recommended she be taken to a psychiatric hospital right then and there, in which he would handle the paperwork. After Rey left, Chelsea, who of course played possum to emulate the sedative’s effects, opened her eyes and Dr. Hedges remarked to Victor he felt a bit uncomfortable because if they were caught in the con, it would mean his medical license.

Hedges then remarked he hoped he would be paid accordingly and Victor assured him he would be. Dr. Hedges has seen Chelsea in her room in the psychiatric hospital at least once since then, and he’ll be back to check on her on Tuesday, May 25th’s episode of The Young and The Restless.

Y&R Spoilers – Maite Garcia Debuts As Elizabeth Westerbrook

On Monday, May 24th’s episode of The Young and The Restless, Maite Garcia debuts as Elizabeth Westerbrook. She also appeared on The Bold and The Beautiful, The Young and The Restless’ sister soap as a caterer and made a couple of appearances on Jane The Virgin and Get Spy. Not a whole lot of detail has been given as to where she will appear and what she will do in the storyline, but here is what else is set to happen the day of her appearance.

Victor will provide Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) vital information about her past; this will be related to her defense of her grandfather, Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) who was accused of murdering her birth father, Richard Nealon (uncast character) who had worked at Newman Enterprises after graduating from college.

Richard had found out that Sutton Ames apparently had bent the rules to help the company bypass a zoning law for their commercial real-estate deal. In exchange, Newman Enterprises sent political donations to the Ames family. Richard apparently knew who the person inside Newman Enterprises was and had intended to expose both of them.

Also, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will defend her daughter, Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will finally come clean to his father, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about his being the father of Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) little boy, Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). Elizabeth Westerbrook could be in any of those scenes.
