The Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday December 5: Abby Fires Phyllis, Chance Makes A Shocking Discovery, and Connor Tries To Get Rid of Sharon

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, December 5th indicate that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) fires Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) makes a shocking discovery about the hotel robberies, and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) tries to get rid of Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).

Y&R Spoilers – Chance Chancellor’s discovery

Chance arrives at the Grand Phoenix to tell Abby he has news about the robberies.

Phyllis is at Crimson Lights when she receives a call from Abby asking to come to the hotel.

Abby makes a phone call to Phyllis, then tells Chance that she’s on the way. They discuss Phyllis using the security system for spying, and Abby can’t wait to fire Phyllis.

Later Phyllis arrives at the Grand Phoenix, and Abby lays into her about using the security system to spy on everyone. Phyllis reminds her it’s part of the job since she’s head of security. Abby accuses Phyllis of spying to get information for her own benefit. She’s said she’s had enough and is banning Phyllis from the hotel and her life. Phyllis says that she lives at the hotel and reminds Abby that the Grand Phoenix was her project first. Abby says they have the good on her, and Phyllis mocks Abby’s infatuation with Chance and her track record with men. Abby then brings up Phyllis’ failed relationships. Phyllis vows she’ll be back, then storms out.

Chance comes into the room and Abby informs him that she fired Phyllis. Chance says the robberies weren’t caught on camera, then brings up the possibility of it being an inside job. He says he has a few theories on the culprit, but won’t say who. Abby asks Chance out for dinner, and he says he’ll be back later to take her out.

Later when Chance returns, he accidentally bumps into Abby. Her bag falls to the floor and the stolen jewels spill out.

The Young and The Restless Spoilers – Devon Hamilton and Nick Newman chat

Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) meet at Society to discuss New Hope. Devon says the project is a good distraction from the drama in his life. The two men then discuss their personal lives. Devon talks about the money and Amanda Sinclair (Mishel Morgan). Nick then talks about Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) moving in with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Devon wonders how Nick can go on like this.

Y&R Spoilers Connor Newman and Sharon Newman

At Adam’s penthouse, Chelsea is helping Connor with his homework when Adam announces that Sharon is on her way. Connor goes upstairs to get ready but eavesdrops on Chelsea and Adam’s discussion about doing whatever it takes to help their son.

Later Adam and Chelsea go to Crimson Lights, while Sharon is with Connor. The discuss Connor’s issue with the “monster” and Adam voices concern that Connor has the same darkness that Adam and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) have. Chelsea assures Adam it’s not, and promises that they’ll make Connor get better. Chelsea and Adam eat a batch of brownies, and she mentions them having good old-fashioned family fun.

Meanwhile, at the penthouse, Sharon and Connor are discussing the monster. Connor says he knows how to make the monster go away, and Sharon wants to know-how. Connor starts chanting “Can’t beat three. Me, mom, and dad.” Connor says that trick works and he doesn’t need Sharon’s help anymore.

Adam and Chelsea return, and ask about Connor’s session. Sharon says that Connor seems to be doing better when it’s him, Adam, and Chelsea together. Sharon then leaves, and Adam and Chelsea plan a night of watching sports and eating dinner with Connor. Later in the evening when Connor’s gone to bed, they talk about the progress Connor is making but agree that it’s best if he still continues his sessions with Sharon. Connor overhears their conversation and whispers, “Sharon can go away. Can’t beat three. Me, mom, and dad.”

Phyllis’ bad day

After getting fired, Phyllis goes to Society where she runs into Nick. She starts complaining about being fired, but vows to bounce back because the Grand Phoenix is her baby. Nick doesn’t have time for Phyllis and says he has his own problems. Phyllis asks what’s bothering him, and Nick brings up how he believes Adam is using Connor’s issues to get closer to Chelsea. Phyllis agrees with Nick’s theory, then says that maybe Nick’s better off without Chelsea.

Nick gets defensive when it comes to Chelsea and says that Phyllis is being manipulated by Adam. She says that neither she nor Chelsea are being manipulated by Adam. Phyllis then points out that Chelsea is the one who decided to move in with Adam, and Chelsea isn’t even making Nick a priority. Phyllis mentions Chelsea is going to cause more deceit and advises him to get out while he can. Nick then leaves, and Phyllis sits at the table reeling from the tension.
