The Young And The Restless Spoilers Thursday, January 21: Abby Comes To A Realization – Chance Impresses Victor – Traci Remembers Colleen

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, January 21, tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will still be upset and unable to sleep at the Chancellor mansion. Abby will imagine that Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) is talking on the phone with his mom and ranting about how he and Abby won’t have the future they planned.

Abby will snap out of her vision when Chance enters the room. Abby will tell Chance that she needs some time alone, and she’ll go off for a drive to clear her head. Later, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will stop by to check on Abby, but he’ll find Chance at the mansion alone.

Chance and Victor will talk about the situation at hand, and Chance (Donny Boaz) will say that he doesn’t mean disrespect, but that all the specialists giving Abby (Melissa Ordway) bad news was just too much. Victor and Chance will have a heart-to-heart, and Chance will indicate to Victor that he is willing to change his vision of what having a family looks like for Abby. Victor will be impressed and happy to hear that.

Next on Y&R, over at the Abbott mansion, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will notice that Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) seems upset, and he’ll wonder what’s wrong. Traci won’t think it’s her place to tell, but Jack will eventually get Abby’s current situation out of her. Jack will be truly saddened to hear the news.

Jack and Traci will talk about family and parenthood, and Jack will say that Traci has been through the toughest loss that a parent can face. Jack will praise Traci as resilient, but Traci will say that she doesn’t want to be gracious; she just wants Colleen Carlton (Tammin Sursock) back.

Jack and Traci will continue to talk about family, as Traci compares Jack to their dad John Abbott (Jerry Douglas). That will truly touch Jack, but he’ll also worry that perhaps he put too much pressure on Abby to have the “perfect” future with the “teardrop of love” legend. Traci won’t think that’s the case at all.

Y&R Spoilers – Mariah Copeland Offers Some Advice

Next on Y&R, Abby will go to Society, where she’ll pour a drink and see a vision of Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) talking at a table. Victor and Nikki will talk about how tough Abby’s miscarriage was for her, but they’ll also say that Abby still has options. Abby will leave the restaurant and head over to Crimson Lights.

Abby will see Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) at Crimson Lights, and the women will talk. Abby will be afraid that Chance and everyone else pities her, but Mariah will softly tell Abby that nobody is pitying her, but that they all love her. Mariah will think that Abby should go home and get some rest.

From there, Abby will go to the Grand Phoenix, where she’ll see Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) at the front desk. Abby will ask for a room, and Phyllis will snark, thinking that Abby must have had a fight with Chance. Abby will start crying and say that she just has some personal issues, and Phyllis will end up giving her a room on the house.

Abby will go up to her room, where she’ll fall asleep. The next morning, Abby will wake up after dreaming about finding a baby in a carriage in her room. Abby will get herself together and head down to the lobby, where Victor will be talking with Phyllis. As it will turn out, Victor will be at the hotel for a business meeting.

Abby will have a brief conversation with Victor, who will explain that he was simply in the hotel for a business meeting. After Abby takes off for home, Phyllis will try to take credit for Abby feeling better by saying that she comped Abby a room. Victor will be surprised that Phyllis owns the hotel now.

Y&R Spoilers – Chance Chancellor and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor Face The Future Together

Next on Y&R, Abby will go home, where Chance will be thrilled to see her walk in the door. Abby and Chance will talk, and Chance will tell Abby that he won’t try to fix things or tell her how to feel, but that he wants to go through all of this with her. “Me too,” Abby will say.

Abby will say that she has realized that she can still be a mom and that they can still have kids, but that they need to explore other options. Chance will be 100% on board, but he won’t want Abby to rush into anything because of him. Abby will say that she’s ready, and Chance will be ready to start this new adventure together.
