But her intention of getting him to admit that they both shared blame for the collapse of their marriage, while on their honeymoon in Paris, France, was rejected.

Ashley sent multiple mixed signals to Tucker leading into their remarriage. She had him convinced that leaving Jabot and co-founding a new company was the future.

But the verbal confrontation they had in Paris wrecked the trust Tucker believed they built. Ashley suddenly reversed course and stated she would not abandon the family business or walk away from the Abbott family.

Tucker was blindsided and reacted with emotional force. He told Ashley he regretted his outburst but not what he said, with her plea for him to take half the blame not being palatable.

Ashley told Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and others that she is better positioned than anyone to determine what Tucker may be plotting. But the conversation this estranged couple had reinforced that she still cares about him.

The return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, was considered. Tucker believed that almost dying in a car crash caused him to gain enlightenment. With that, he went home intending to make amends.

His love for Ashley was never extinguished and probably never will be. She affects him more deeply than anyone on the planet, no matter whether he is in GC or across the world.

But the relationship Tucker has with Ashley has never been solid, and his attempts to start anew were met with skepticism from the start.

Ashley is never fully honest with him, and Tucker’s Jabot takeover plot reinforces that his view of love is conditional.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Kyle Abbott Puts Himself In Danger

When asked, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) told Tucker he was willing to betray his family in exchange for running Jabot with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). Like Tucker and Ashley, Kyle is focused inward.

Tucker is exploiting Kyle’s animosity toward his father, whom St. John’s character holds responsible for influencing Ashley’s point of view. Tucker makes the mistake of not holding himself partially responsible for the dysfunctional nature of his relationship with her as a result.

The Abbot family is not prepared for Kyle’s betrayal, while the audience does not know how Tucker plans to use him to seize Jabot on Y&R.
