The Young and the Restless Spoilers Tuesday November 5: Mariah’s Big Surprise, Phyllis Worries About Nick’s Political Career, and Chelsea Rushes to Connor’s side

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday November 5th indicate that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) plans a surprise for Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) worries Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) political career will change him, and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) rushes to Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) side.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Mariah’s surprise

At Crimson Lights, Mariah and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) are discussing the party. Sharon says that Tessa is going to love it.

Tessa arrives at Society to find the restaurant empty. Mariah blindfolds Tessa and puts headphones on her. While Tessa is blindfolded, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) come in. Mariah takes Tessa into the office, while Lola and Kyle get ready for the party. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), Sharon, and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) arrive.

After everything’s set up, Mariah brings Tessa out and reveals the surprise party. Tessa kisses Mariah, then Kyle, Lola, and Sharon make toasts. Mariah reads a poem she wrote for Tessa, and the two toast to their anniversary. After the guests leave, Mariah and Tessa slow dance, then plan to finish the celebration at home.

Sharon and Rey return to Crimson Light, where they discuss Mariah and Tessa. She says she had doubts, but feels Tessa is a good fit for her daughter. Sharon gets emotional as she opens up about her life. When Sharons says she’s almost finished getting her degree, Rey’s happy to hear the news and promises better things are in store for Sharon. The two then share a dance.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Kyle warns Jack

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is at the Grand Phoenix, on the phone with Kyle. Kyle advises Jack to dig into Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) past for any dirty secrets. Jack tells Kyle that Theo’s part of the family and family is important to Jack. He tells Kyle not to let his history with Theo alter his perception of his cousin. Kyle warns Jack and he hopes he doesn’t have to be the one to say “I told you so.”

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Chelsea rushes to Connor’s side

Chelsea is at the Grand Phoenix asking Abby for information about Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) when Nick arrives. When asked why she wants to know about Simon, Chelsea says she curious. Jack joins the group, and Chelsea excuses herself. Abby then leaves to take care of some business. Nick and Jack discuss Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Nick worries that Adam is going to use Connor to get back with Chelsea, but is confident Adam’s plan will fail.

At Adam’s penthouse, he’s downstairs when he hears Connor screaming. He goes upstairs to check on Connor, who had a nightmare. Adam comforts Connor, then calls Chelsea to tell her what happened.

After Chelsea receives his call, she rushes over to Adam’s place. A frantic Connor hugs his mom and says he knew she’d come. Chelsea gets Connor to calm down by using a technique called magic eyes. She tells him to focus on something that makes him happy like his parents. Connor calms down and eventually falls back to sleep. Adam puts the boy to bed and thanks for Chelsea’s help.

Adam says Chelsea and Connor need to see each other more often. Chelsea wonders what caused his nightmare, and Adam wonders if she knows what’s going on. She thinks it must be violent video games that cause it and says they need to keep Connor safe. As she’s preparing to leave, she teaches Adam how to use the magic eyes technique if Connor needs it. Later Adam checks on Connor, who says he loves it when Chelsea’s there and Adam says he does too.

Chelsea arrives home and tells Nick it’s hard being away from Connor. She talks about what happened tonight and wonders if it was a ruse to get her to come over. Nick wonders if it was Connor or Adam’s idea.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Nick’s campaign

Jack and Nick discuss the campaign and how his family name may have a negative effect. But Jack is confident Nick will prove to people that he’s his own man. Phyllis overhears their conversation and interrupts, she says she’s happy to see her exes making things happen.

Jack leaves, and Nick senses Phyllis isn’t happy with him running for councilman. Nick thought Phyllis would be happy, but she says she’s concerned politics will change him into Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Nick says that’s not going to happen and he hugs Phyllis. Abby witnesses their moment, then after Nick leaves Abby walks over to Phyllis. Phyllis makes a comments about people thinking she’s making a play for Nick, then jokes she may have to hit that.

 Needless to say, The Young and the Restless fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next.
