The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) may regret her deal with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Chelsea found herself backed into a corner when Victor threatened her. Victor wanted to clear his son Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) name in the poisoning of Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). Knowing Chelsea was responsible for the crime, Victor hatched a plan where they’d both come out winners.

But in true Victor fashion, he’ll go back on his promise.

Not wanting to risk her son Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) taken away, Chelsea gave in to Victor’s blackmail. To protect herself, her family, and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson); Chelsea agreed to The Moustache’s plan.

When questioned by Rey about his poisoning, Chelsea faked a mental breakdown. After a diagnosis from a doctor, she was admitted to Fairview.

Although Rey is skeptical about Chelsea’s story, her and Victor’s ruse paid off. Earlier this week, a judge ruled Chelsea not guilty by reason of insanity for her role in Rey’s poisoning. With Chelsea clear of her crime, she’s ready to move forward. However, Chelsea’s hopes of freedom and being reunited with her son will be dashed.

Y&R Spoilers – Victor Double Crosses Chelsea

After the verdict comes in, Victor pays Chelsea a visit, where he informs her she’ll be staying in Fairview a little longer. Chelsea is less than pleased with her Fairview stay. She and Victor both got what they wanted. Adam’s free and Chelsea won’t be going to prison.

She figured this ruse of theirs would be over, yet Victor has other plans. He knows Chelsea’s unwell and a dangerous threat to everyone, including his family. She needs help and he’s going to see that she gets it.

The only way for Chelsea to get better is for her to stay in Fairview and continue her therapy.

Although Chelsea is adamant she’s fine, as Y&R fans have seen these past months, she’s unraveling. Chelsea’s hatred towards Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is driving her over the edge. Angered by Sharon and Adam’s kiss, Chelsea decided to get revenge.

Unfortunately, Rey was a victim in Chelsea’s payback plot. Rey almost lost his life because Chelsea wanted Adam and Sharon to suffer. Now Chelsea is the one suffering.

The longer Chelsea’s locked up in Fairview, the more she’s going to unravel. She’s cut off from the outside world and doesn’t have any contact with her son. Once again Chelsea’s thoughts are going to turn dark as she blames Sharon and Adam for her troubles.

Chelsea is going to start losing her mind and it’s only a matter of time before she suffers a real mental breakdown. The big question is whether she’ll be able to get the help she needs and get better. Or will it be too late to save her?
