Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) had no intentions of killing Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) when he went to Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) house. As the audience knows, Nick was not aware that Ashland was there, and he was not looking for him.

But Nick’s senses were heightened when Victoria did not answer her phone. The confrontation with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) followed after Morrow’s character entered the house and learned that Victoria was grabbed.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Ashland Locke Pushed By Victor Newman

Ashland was demeaned and demoralized. During his last days, he cited how cold-hearted and relentless the Newman family was.

Victor refused to allow Ashland to see Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) one last time. Newman’s character claimed that is all he wanted before leaving Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Whatever Ashland’s plans were, they did not seem to involve appearing to threaten Victoria’s life, which is how she interpreted what happened. But Victoria’s trap came into play at Chancellor Park, Ashland was arrested, and the fatal showdown with Nick later happened.

Y&R Spoilers – Nick Newman Knows Something Is Off

Nick told Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) that something felt off. He suspects Victor’s arrival after Ashland’s body mysteriously disappeared represents something important.

The timeline of Ashland falling and hitting his head, Nick and Victoria both being out of the house, and Ashland’s body not being on the fireplace when they returned would not normally make sense. But adding Victor into the equation, Nick believes that his father likely handled cleanup to protect him.

Should Nick be concerned about Victoria’s actions? That depends upon how one views justice relating to Ashland.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chance Chancellor Suspects Foul Play

Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is someone Victor respects and approves of. That is odd, considering how Braeden’s character has responded to Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) other romantic connections, with Ben Stitch Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) being an exception at first.

Victor is hopeful that Chance will not find any evidence that creates an issue. But Floyd’s character is teased to heighten the investigation into Ashland’s unusual death as he and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) pursue new leads on Y&R.
