The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will face Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) furry after Nate Hastings, Jr. fails as Newman Media CEO. It is a position that Nate isn’t qualified for. It’s just setting him up to fail.

Victoria believes in Nate and feels he’s the perfect man for the job. However, to hire Nate, she had to fire Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) as the current CEO.
Y&R fans believe that her move to fire Sally was a personal one. She seeks to create distance between Sally and her brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). She falsely thinks if Sally isn’t working at Newman, Nick won’t spend so much time with the redhead.

Victoria acknowledged Nate lacks experience in the media department. She listed his strengths, one of them being in the medical field. Since he can’t perform surgeries anymore, she felt he would be a perfect fit for the Newman Media CEO position.
The beef between Nate and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) could be a problem for Newman Enterprises. It goes deeper than Nate selling his Chancellor-Winters shares to Victoria. Nate hasn’t addressed Elena Dawson’s (Brytini Sarpy) tryst with Devon. He can pretend that it didn’t bother him, but the Y&R viewers can tell something drove Nate to betray his family in this way.

Y&R Spoilers—Victor Newman Gets Involved
The one thing the Y&R fans love, and that’s Victor Newman. He gets wind of Victoria’s new hire. He investigates his track record with Newman Media and finds he isn’t doing as good of a job as Sally. The Mustache questions his daughter about Nate’s lack of performance and suggests firing him.
Victoria will probably defend Nate, proposing they give him more time to get into the swing of things. Victor won’t like that idea, hinting that it was a mistake to hire him. Victoria hopes that Victor will allow her to keep her employee and continue to build a meaningful friendship with Nate.
If Nate fails at the CEO position, Victoria will lose, too. Victor will want answers to how she plans to fix the situation, including who she intends to name as Nate’s replacement.
