This concern stems from Nick’s recent admission of his struggle with drug addiction-despite Nick’s attempts to reassure Victoria that he has everything under control, her anxiety about a potential relapse lingers on.
Victoria’s Worries Are Not Unfounded
As it turns out, Victoria’s worries were not unfounded-Nick has unfortunately managed to acquire more fentanyl pills and has fallen back into using them.
At this point, Nick is finding it incredibly difficult to function without the drugs, leading him to sneak them in order to maintain his composure for his latest mission involving Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
However, it is becoming increasingly evident that Nick cannot continue down this path. Regardless of the situation with Matt, it poses a significant risk for Nick to be consuming fentanyl and spiraling further into addiction.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has already expressed his concerns about Nick’s well-being; in an effort to help, he has been questioning his brother and remains skeptical of Nick’s claims about detoxing.

Victoria Won’t Believe It
In the episode airing on May 20, Victoria is unlikely to accept those claims, particularly if she witnesses Nick using drugs firsthand.
There’s a significant possibility that Victoria will catch Nick in the act of taking pills, especially as she is on the brink of uncovering some devastating news.
According to Y&R spoilers, Victoria will confront Nick, cornering him and compelling him to confess about his struggles with recovery.
While Nick might feel pressured to admit that he has obtained more drugs, he will likely attempt to persuade Victoria that he has everything under control.

Victor And Nikki Will Set Their Marital Problems Aside To Help Their Son
In the May 21 episode, Victor and Nikki will indeed set aside their marital issues, as Nick will require their support more than ever.
As the story unfolds on May 22, Nikki will firmly stand her ground, which may revolve around Nick needing to enter rehab immediately.
She might even argue that Nick’s outpatient plan is insufficient, insisting that he must check into a facility that can provide him with constant supervision- at least for the time being.
The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Nick will receive some tough love. This will hopefully guide him back onto the right path, so make sure to stay tuned!
