Victoria knows that she needs to protect Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) legacy. However, her plan needs a scapegoat, which will be Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Y&R spoilers reveal that Victoria has now seen the light regarding Ashland. At first, Victoria was devastated and heartbroken. Then, Ashland came to her when she was away from her family. Ashland tried to explain why he walked out during the “intervention.” Of course, Ashland never did admit to lying about having cancer or going to treatment.

Victoria told Ashland that they could reunite and even hugged him. Then, Victoria arranged to go to Tuscany with Ashland. Victoria told Ashland that they need time away from her meddling family. Meanwhile, Victoria has some top-secret plan that she isn’t revealing to her family.

Y&R Spoilers – Victor Newman Impatient

Victor thinks it’s a terrible idea for Victoria to be with Ashland again, even if she is playing mind games. Victor also doesn’t like that Victoria is leaving for Tuscany with Ashland and is keeping her plan a secret. As a result, Victor decided to name Adam as the temporary CEO of Newman/Locke.

As an interesting sidenote, Victor refuses to name the company as it’s called now. Instead, he is calling it by its previous name… Newman Enterprises.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victoria will finally share one step of her plan. Victoria knows that Ashland keeps saying that he was framed by someone. Victoria wants to use this to her advantage. Victoria wants to make it look as if someone did frame Ashland. The scapegoat she wants to use is Adam.

Y&R Spoilers – Negotiating Terms

Adam is a logical choice since he has a history of this kind of behavior. So, it won’t be a stretch for Ashland to believe that Adam would do something like this. Adam doesn’t mind being the scapegoat but wants something in exchange.

Adam has wanted to be in charge for a long time. Adam wants the temporary CEO position to be permanent. While Victoria won’t like this, she might not have a choice. However, it is also teased that Adam goes rogue and he brainstorms with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) on how to swing this in their favor.

Adam and Sally will face a roadblock when their plan is squashed by Victor, though. So, will Adam accept defeat? Probably not but what Adam and Sally do next could have long-reaching consequences.
