The Young And The Restless Spoilers: How Will Rey Be Written Off Y&R?

The Young And The Restless: Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) The Young and The Restless spoilers and rumors pose the question as to how Detective Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) might be written out of Y&R with the exit of Jordi Vilasuso, whose contract wasn’t renewed!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Rey Rosales Has Been Getting A Little Too Cozy With Chelsea Lawson

In recent episodes that Rey has been getting a little too cozy with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), although there has been nothing to indicate that Chelsea is being written out! Viewers of The Young and The Restless will remember that when Rey and Sharon have gone through rough patches, it has always been Rey’s baggage from his ex-wife Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) cheating on him with his brother Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) that has gotten in the way.

Rey would see Sharon’s codependent fixer mode come out in her relationship to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and mistake it for attraction and his jealousy would cause problems because of not trusting Sharon. The situations could easily be reversed now, with Sharon becoming jealous of Rey’s attentions to Chelsea, and she could give him the boot, with Rey likely leaving town and moving back to Miami with the rest of his family.

Y&R Spoilers – Rey Rosales Could Be Recast Although There’s Not Been Any Indications Of  A Recast

Viewers of The Young and The Restless also have to consider that the role of Rey could be recast, as what happened with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) a couple of years back. Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that former Chance, Donny Boaz was suddenly let go also and Chance was sent on an overseas mission, presumed dead, and then came back as a new actor.

There has been no word on a recast in this case, but there wasn’t with Chance either for well over a year; Rey could be sent on a mission like Chance was and not return from it for a long time, with him returning as a new actor. For that matter, after a certain period of time Jordi could be recalled and rehired as Rey also – how many times has Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) faked his death and returned over the years? Longtime viewers have lost count, but Victor has never been recast, although Adam has been several times, this last time having amnesia and being presumed dead.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Rey Rosales Could Be Killed In The Line Of Duty

Sadly, as viewers of The Young and The Restless know, any character that plays a member of law enforcement is subject to being written out by being killed in the line of duty! No one knows exactly when Jordi’s last airdate is, although it is thought to be sometime in the spring – meaning in the next couple of months; with summer beginning in June, it could be soon.

There are at least two villainous characters that could cause Detective Rosales’ untimely end; Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) or possibly even Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) should she slither her way back into Genoa City from LA! Locke is a wild card, with Rey possibly having to respond to a hostage situation, but Diane could be even more dangerous, and she wouldn’t think twice about pulling a gun on a cop!

Rey and Sharon have gotten close and I thought they were stable now that Adam is not swooning over Sharon… Why get rid of Rey? That was done with Dylan and Sharon many moons ago and Dylan had to go into "Witness Protection"… same thing now with Rey? Too silly. Noah has to get a life, too… leave Mariah and Tessa alone, please.
