Y&R spoilers reveal that Victoria and Ashland are having a whirlwind courtship. Victoria moved him in before they even shared their first kiss. Then, they went to bed together. Before the sheets have even been laundered, they are already planning their wedding. A lot of people are concerned about how quickly Victoria is moving with Ashland. However, she justifies it by reminding everyone that Ashland might be dead in a few months.
Victoria has fallen head over heels for Ashland and he seems perfect for her. That is the problem, though. In soaps, when one seems too good to be true, they usually are.

We have to wonder what is uncovered about Ashland. A clue can be found in an old interview in Soap Opera Digest. At the beginning of July, co-executive producer and head writer Josh Griffith told the magazine,
“Ashland remains in many ways an enigma. As those who care about Victoria and worry the relationship may be moving too fast decide to delve into Ashland’s past, could certain secrets better left hidden come to light?”

I'm so looking forward for this 'wedding of the century' to flop and it will happen
when everyone is there, all Ashland's secret coming to light and it will blow up
in his face with smiles. He lied to Victoria from start to finish just for NE and she'll
have nothing to show for but cry to daddy. Everyone told her, he is lying about his
health and doesn't have lung cancer, he is 'healthy as a horse'
Ashland is rotten to the core. His main goal is get control of Neumann. And Victoria is being blindsided and she doesn’t have a clue. Her arrogance leading up to this will be her downfall. Victor will not let Ashland get his grubby hands on Neumann. Can’t wait. Victor Can say all he wants about Billy. But his gut feelings on this is true. He will always have feelings for Victoria as he was married to her how many times and have kids. You can’t just block that out. Either Lilly needs to deal with that or leave him.
The Ashland story has been the most intriguing in a long time. The actor who plays Ashland has the talent to really raise the bar and lift the surrounding cast in his scenes. I hope he stays, if he gets control of Newman it would make for a further good story, watching Victor and Adam scramble to get it back. There could be a couple of other good stories in there too. Ashland and Jack have a mutual respect and now family connection. Jack's being torn between friendships Ashland and Adam could be interesting. Ashland could find he's won Newman bit truely lost the love of his life, a situation he hadn't planned for. That could result in a relationship with Amanda. Let's face it Amanda and Devon need something to shake their story up, Ashland would make a great adversary for Devon. Devon really needs the writers to turn up the heat and give him a great story. Bottom line Ashland is a snake but I love the way this actors portrays him, so much so I can't hate Ashland, although I know I should.
I enjoy Ashland. I hope Ashland really does love Victoria. I would like to see them married and happy for sometime to come. I hope the older woman was a mentor only.
