The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, August 19 – Chelsea Changes Her Mind – Victoria Stuns Everyone At The Press Conference – Abby Offers Assistance To Traci

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 19, tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will pay Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) a visit at the penthouse. Victor will urge Adam to leave the past in the past and move on, but Adam won’t think that’s possible since Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) know about what happened all those years ago in Kansas.

Victor will get a call from Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), who will say that Victoria’s about to give a press conference. Adam will call Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) to warn her about the press conference, too. Turns out, Chelsea will be visiting with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) at Sharon’s place. Chelsea will have just told Sharon that Adam won’t be seeking therapy from her to recover his memories. Sharon will think that’s a mistake.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Billy Abbott Is On Board With Victoria Newman’s Plan

Next on Y&R, Victoria will meet with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about Victoria’s big plan and intentions for the press conference. After hearing Victoria’s idea, Billy will run it by Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), telling Amanda that he thinks they should definitely go for it.

Meanwhile, over at the Grand Phoenix, Nick and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be enjoying their morning together, complete with breakfast in bed. After some conversation, Nick will get a call about Victoria’s press conference, but he’ll have no comment and he’ll take off shortly thereafter.

Y&R Spoilers – Traci Abbott Gets An Assist From Abby Newman

Next on Y&R, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will be busy at the Abbott mansion discussing the home movies that they’d like to find for Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). Soon, Jack will get a call from Victoria saying that everything is on track for the press conference and her big announcement.

Later, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will arrive at the mansion and she’ll offer Traci some assistance by mentioning that the home movies they’re looking for might be in Paris. Traci will make a call and locate the boxes, arranging for them to be sent to Genoa City.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nikki Newman Begs Victoria Newman Not To Blow Up The Newman Family

Next on Y&R, Nikki will arrive at Newman Enterprises to urge Victoria not to air out any Newman family secrets at the press conference. Victoria will be dismayed that her mother doesn’t have more faith in her, and she’ll insist that she’s made the best decision for the family and for the company.

Nikki will be at her wits end, and she’ll head to the Grand Phoenix, where she’ll find Nick. Nick won’t think that Victoria will reveal the secret about Adam’s past since she wouldn’t so readily give up that kind of leverage. Nikki and Nick will decide to watch the press conference online, and over at Sharon’s place, she and Chelsea will watch the conference live as well.

Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman Makes Some Big Announcements At The Press Conference

As the press conference begins, Victoria will announce that she’s back at the CEO of Newman Enterprises and that it’s a permanent change. Victoria will talk about leadership and accountability, and Adam will wonder if she’s going to expose his past, but she won’t. Instead, Victoria will announce that she’s going to streamline Newman Enterprises’ operations.

With Jack and Billy on hand at the conference, Victoria will announce that Jabot will be purchasing Newman Cosmetics and Chancellor Communications will be purchasing Newman Enterprise’s media division. Adam will tell Victor that Victoria’s calling the shots now, but Victor will remark that they’ll see about that.

Chelsea will be relieved that Victoria didn’t “out” Adam’s childhood secret, and as she’s talking with Sharon after the press conference, she’ll realize that Sharon has recently had surgery. Sharon will reveal her breast cancer battle, and Chelsea will be stunned and apologetic. Sharon will think that it should be an indication of how serious she thinks Adam’s plight is – he needs help.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman Questions Victoria Newman’s Business Moves

Victor will catch up with Victoria at Newman Enterprises regarding her decision to sell off parts of the company to Jack and Billy. Victoria will defend her decision and instruct her father to go help Adam with his situation. After some arguing between father and daughter, Nikki will break things up, and Victoria will leave. Nikki will be relieved that Victoria didn’t mention Adam’s issues and past crime at the press conference.

Nick will head back to the Grand Phoenix, where he and Phyllis will talk about the press conference. Phyllis will think that Victoria must know something pretty important to get away with what she just did. And back at the penthouse, Chelsea will tell Adam that she’s changed her mind and that she supports him recovering his memories about the past.
