The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, August 29, 2018 – Devon Talks to Victor – Suspicions Arise – Phyllis Exposes a Secret

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday August 29 kick off with Sharon (Sharon Case) mocking Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) about her being there and not alone with Billy (Jason Thompson). Sharon had hoped Phyllis would have followed her advice when it came to her daughter; but Phyllis informs her she was only half right, that the duo only needed a vacation from each other.

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is leaving the Dive Bar when she bumps into Rey (Jordi Vilasuso). He tells her that he met her parents the other day and they are nice people. She leaves as he once again reviews the photos on his phone. Nate (Brooks Donnell) tries to get Devon (Bryton James) to get out, but he insists he is good.

Abby (Melissa Ordway) arrives at the door, not revealing whether she is there to talk about Lily (Christel Khalil), but Devon lets her in anyways. Nate leaves and Abby reveals she saw Lily, and is worried about her. Devon insists she has the support of her family which is more than he has, but she reminds Devon he is the only one who can affect the outcome of her sentencing. He tells her she has perfect timing because he’s working on his statement right now.

Abby questions whether he wants Lily to be treated fairly or to get the maximum sentence? Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) talk at the GCAC, when Victoria comes in apologizing that she was late. Victor reprimands her, but she quickly tells him she was in her own meeting, trying to talk people out of leaving Newman Enterprises and working with Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) company, Dark Horse. Victor says they have all be under a lot of stress, but her phone rings and she says it’s another fire she needs to put out and leaves the table.

Victor demands to know from Nikki what is going on with her.Nikki tries to cover, saying her daughter hasn’t been sleeping. Victor believes in Victoria, and feels that isn’t what is going on since she has shuffled work and motherhood for a long time now. Victor doesn’t like the mood Victoria is in, and they both apologize to each other. He appreciates everything she has done and gives her a lot of credit; he wants her to not go to the office and have dinner with him, Nikki and Abby.

He feels that its time for them to do some repairing to their family and Victoria agrees to try. Back at the table, Victoria tells Nikki if she really wants to help her, she needs to back off!Abby reads Devon’s statement, she hates it but Devon feels he hasn’t gone far enough, afraid the statement isn’t strong enough to give Lily a life sentence. Abby insists this is not Devon, but he reminds her a lot has changed and all the love in the world will not bring back his wife, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and his child; Abby feels neither will punishing his sister.

She pleads with him to think about Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Mattie (Lexie Stevenson); but he says he is thinking about his wife and child, unlike everyone else. Abby keeps telling him if he does this, he will push his entire family away. He wishes everyone would stop telling him how to feel! Victor calls Abby to invite her for dinner at the club; she is surprised but agrees. She says her and Victor are not in a good place but they are family and making an effort.

Devon says he is not doing this to hurt Lily, but this is what Hilary and their baby deserve.Sharon needs to get a hold of Summer and Phyllis says she can leave a message for her at the apartment phone, but don’t leave anything for her nor Billy as they both moved out. Sharon is shocked but Phyllis says it was long overdue and even more shocked they moved into the Abbott house. Phyllis says it is weird living in the same house she used to share with Jack (Peter Bergman). Both women talk about Nick impersonating JT (Thad Luckinbill).

Sharon realizes that Nick had told her about it beforehand and that is why she wasn’t freaked out about it. Sharon wants to know why Nick would confide in Phyllis like that? Phyllis deflects as Sharon finds it weird that Nick didn’t share with her that she told Phyllis; Phyllis agrees that Sharon is blowing things out of proportion but worries Victoria is about to crack.At dinner, Victor suggests Abby and Victoria should just be sisters.

Victoria apologizes for taking her frustrations out on her; Abby accepts the apology and Victor says this calls for a celebration. Rey comes to the table and reveals to Nikki and Victor that Rey is Arturo’s (Jason Canela) brother. He says he is in Genoa City for work in the financial services and leaves with Victoria looks back at Rey suspiciously. Nate is surprised Devon took his advice and went for a run.

Devon admits he listened to Abby, but feels she is only interested in one side of the situation. Nate suggests that Abby could be there trying to help both Lily and Devon as she’s clearly friends with both of them.Abby feels Victor is laying it on thick when it comes to praising Victoria. He would love for her to come back into the family fold but she says she is very happy working with Nick and her relationship with Arturo.

She explains how she met Rey and Victor is pleased that Abby and Arturo are taking it slow. Victoria wishes everyone a good night but Nikki stops her, saying she is going with her, as someone needs to be there for her. Victoria doesn’t want nor need her help; Nikki says she used the exact words every time she was drowning. Abby questions Victor about what’s going on between Nikki and Victoria.Sharon apologizes for saying Summer has SBS (Spoiled Brat Syndrome) as she shouldn’t joke after Cassie’s (Camryn Grimes) rebellious stage had terrible consequences.

Phyllis says the girls are completely different. Rey comes to Crimson and both women praise him for his services, he says he is just a guy trying to take care of his new friends; slyly saying he is sure her and Phyllis are more than capable of taking care of themselves. Nate confronts Devon, asking him if sending Lily to prison for the next 20 years is justice. He admits it won’t make him feel better, but if no one is held accountable he’s going to feel like he let down his wife and child.

He’s sure if it was anyone else who killed Hilary and his baby, his family would rally around him straight to the courthouse and everyone is missing the point – this is about Hilary and what she deserves! Nate tries to paint a picture of how the days are going to look after his niece and nephew will see their mother being carted off to prison. Nate admits that time doesn’t make things easier, and they’re even harder when you have to face them alone.Victor tells Abby he accepts that she is working for Nick, but he doesn’t want his issues with Nick to affect their relationship. She promises not to let him down, but refuses to give him corporate secrets. Victor says he will never give up, as its not in his vocabulary.

Both Phyllis and Sharon feel they could repay him by getting him jobs. He says their friendship is good enough; as he leaves Victoria wants to know how they know him and surprised that he knows Nick too. Nikki and Victoria become very suspicious of Rey.Victor meets Devon at the Dive Bar, saying Hilary always loved that place. Devon thought coming up there would make him feel better, but all he sees is people going about their lives and he doesn’t know how to act like anything’s changed. They talk about the sentencing hearing tomorrow.

Victor feels Hilary gave as good as she got. Devon defends her, feeling Lily never gave her a chance and Lily was raised privileged, where Hilary fought for everything and in the end it was Lily’s pettiness that got his wife killed. Victor knows Devon has a difficult choice to make, as it seems like Lily simply made a tragic mistake.

The four women discuss Rey, when Abby walks into Crimson revealing that Rey is not single. Victoria demands to know what Rey asked Abby about and she reveals he was worried about JT coming after her.

They all are concerned about Rey’s interest in JT.Abby brings Nate a drink, when they talk about Devon. She thinks Devon believes he is doing this for Hilary, but there has to be someone who can get through to him and change his mind. Neither one knows who that is.Devon continues to talk to Victor, who shares his own family problems, but this time Nick overstepped a line and he doesn’t think they will ever go back. He tells Devon if he doesn’t think he can forgive Lily, then no one can tell him otherwise, it is his choice.Victoria doesn’t like that Rey is so curious, but Nikki feels she is being paranoid urging them all to relax.

Victoria wonders why none of them don’t find it odd that a new guy is asking about JT and going out of his way to know all of them? Rey watches them from the back door.The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on the CBS network.
