The Young And The Restless: Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that the cause of Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) headaches will soon be revealed.

As viewers have noticed for the past few weeks Chelsea’s been suffering from terrible headaches. It started around the time she fell in the elevator at Chancellor Communications.

The focus on Chelsea’s migraines has started speculation that the show is planning a huge storyline with the character suffering a medical crisis.  So what could be wrong with Chelsea?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Brain Tumor

Chelsea’s headaches started not too long after her fall. Speculation is that Chelsea suffered an injury or that a brain tumor may have developed.

Brain tumor storylines are a common occurrence in soap operas. Upcoming previews suggest that Chelsea is keeping a secret, and it’s possible it has something to do with her health.

Although Chelsea keeps shrugging off concern about her headaches, they’re still going to be a problem. Unable to take any more pain, Chelsea will finally seek help for her condition. She’ll then learn that she has a brain tumor and may not have much longer to live.

The show has been foreshadowing a Chelsea and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) reunion. Chelsea’s diagnosis could be the thing to bring them back together.

Fearing they may not have much time left, Chelsea and Adam will declare their love for each other before marrying in a special ceremony.

Y&R Spoilers – Split Personality Disorder

Another cause for Chelsea’s headaches may be due to her having mental issues.  Last year, Y&R did a storyline with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) having dissociative identity disorder. Billy’s personalities were split into two sides, a good one and an evil one. Billy’s dark side caused him to dangerous stuff, including trying to murder Adam.

So could Y&R be planning another split personality storyline, this time with Chelsea?  The headaches could be a sign that her other personality is trying to push its way through, but Chelsea trying to suppress it.

Chelsea is viewed as one of Genoa City’s heroines, although when she first debuted on the series she was a bad girl. However, Chelsea seemed to reform herself and became a model citizen in the town.

Although she’s now seen as a good girl, Y&R fans have criticized the writing for the character. Some fans believe Chelsea has gotten stale due to her recent storylines.

However, a storyline with Chelsea being diagnosed with split personality could be the thing to attract more interest in the character.

Egan is a talented actress, and no matter what storyline her characters put in, Egan knocks it out of the park with her performances.

Chelsea having DID would be a major storyline with her alternate personality wreaking havoc on her enemies. She’ll face a tough battle as she struggles to keep her other personality under control.
