The Young And The Restless – Jack Abbott, Nick Newman, And Phyllis Summers All Think The Couple Is Rushing
Viewers will recall when watching the program over the last few episodes that all their parents think Summer and Kyle are rushing things. They don’t seem to have a problem with them moving in together or buying a house. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is even having the house built. He probably figures as long as the couple is just living together and there’s nothing legal on paper it’s hers should they break up.
No advice has been given by Nick, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) or Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about any prenuptial agreements needing to be written. A prenuptial agreement would make things simpler if the couple were to marry and then broke up. It seems odd that a prenuptial agreement, a common document written up to say who gets what in case of divorce has not been mentioned.
Of course, the parents do not even want them to get married, since they are even having a problem with an engagement! That may be one reason that none of them are advising a prenuptial agreement. All of them want to know what the rush is, and Summer and Kyle are dancing around the subject! Summer in particular just wants to move forward because they’re in love!
Y&Y Spoilers – One Big Objection Is Kyle Abbott Still Being Married

One big objection of all three parents has been because Kyle is still married. Why anyone would make a difference between living together and be engaged is a mystery! However, in the most recent episode of The Young and The Restless, Kyle’s divorce came back finalized so that should no longer be an issue.
There is a good point to be taken, however, in questioning if Kyle has sufficiently moved on from Lola Rosales, (Sasha Calle). However, he divorced her because he realized he hadn’t moved on from Summer sufficiently so that might be a moot point!
Kyle’s being able to fully commit to Summer is a question in all the parents’ minds, even Jack’s because he cares about Summer. He even delivered her when Phyllis went into labor in a stuck elevator due to an ice storm! In addition, there was some question as to if Jack or Nick was her father because Phyllis had been involved with both of them during the same time period. Paternity tests showed Nick was her father. Nevertheless, Jack clearly thinks of Summer as a daughter. Kyle reminds him a little too much of himself at that age, so he takes some concern and doesn’t want Kyle to hurt Summer again.
Neither does Nick and Phyllis! However, the couple still wants to move forward quickly, more quickly than their parents are comfortable with! Considering Summer, especially, is rather evasive as to a reason why there may be a very good reason. Summer could be pregnant! Even though times and morals have changed, she may want their baby to have a stable home! In Summer’s mind, Kyle being her husband and not just her fiancé or live in may provide the stability their baby will need!
