Let’s face it, there has always been a lot of tension between Nick and Adam, and might not all be their doing. That’s because there’s a history of their father Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) pitting each other against one another. It all began when Victor hired Adam as a Newman executive way back when they were still working on the family’s magazine, Restless Style. To this day, Victor loves seeing his siblings spar with each other, because he thinks it’s good for the family’s business.

Another reason why Adam and Nick could never get along is that there was always Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) between them. But at this point, it’s safe to say that Sharon is no longer in the picture. Or at least, she shouldn’t be in the picture as Nick certainly doesn’t have the same feelings he had for her in the past.
