Chance Chancellor (last Donny Boaz) may finally return to Genoa City to his wife and baby son. This is what many Y&R fans have been hoping for, ever since the news came about the bombing. There is also a possibility that Flynn may have been hired as a different character.

Donny Boaz announced in December 2020 that he was recovering from COVID. Ordway’s husband, Justin Gaston stepped into the role when Chance and Abby were married on New Year’s Eve. The actor even said he would be happy to continue as Chance but was not offered the opportunity.

Y&R does not pair real-life couples together long-term on screen as is evident with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as well as Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). In February it was announced that Boaz had been fired and the role would not be recast.

If he does not portray Chance perhaps he could be a love interest for Abby down the road. Some fans of the CBS soap have been saying they suspect Noah Newman’s (Rory Gibson) heart was broken by a man so Floyd could be a new romance for him. He might also be the London lover who shows up in Genoa City.
