Michael Muhney is steadily trying to get back into the groove of acting. While he works on his efforts and trying to land a new project, he had some big news to share with his fans. In fact, it’s splendid news as he won the best actor award.

With an excellent resume, Muhney’s latest project is that of Sidepiece in which he plays the role of Collin.

What is Sidepiece? It is a kinda-romantic-comedy short film that was released for viewing on YouTube in 2019. It focused on “Relationship Status: It’s complicated. Like, really REALLY complicated.”

It is directed by Teddy Tenenbaum. It is written by Tenenbaum and Minsun Park. It stars Muhney, Park and Jenness Rouse. It is a ten minutes film which was released on November 15, 2019.

While times are tough now and most people are focused on self-isolation, social distancing and more due to the widespread of the coronavirus, the movie page shared the wonderful news that Muhney won himself the best actor award for the movie at the Alternative Film Festival for Spring 2020. It is another for the show.

Currently, film festivals and other major events are either being rescheduled for a later date or are canceled in order to prevent the spread of the virus and to save lives.

Muhney is most recognized for his time on The Young and the Restless as Adam Newman. He was the second actor to play the role now being played by Mark Grossman (the fourth actor).

Y&R News – Michael Muhney Is Missed

Muhney is missed by fans every day as they constantly talk about him in groups on Facebook and also via tweets on Twitter. They crave his return to acting and so do we. He also guest-starred on the hit primetime medical drama The Good Doctor as Calico in 2017.

He stays quite busy with his wife, Jaime Garrison Muhney and their three children which he often posts about via his only social media account on Twitter. He is also known for cycling which he does pretty often and also shares on social media. Muhney remains very good friends with his former Y&R co-star, Sharon Case (Sharon Collins) who is now a part of a very important storyline as the show tries to educate viewers about breast cancer.
