The Young And The Restless Star Elizabeth Hendrickson Opens Up About Time On GH

The Young and the Restless spoilers and updates tease that Elizabeth Hendrickson talked about her childhood and other memorable experiences during an interview with Maurice Benard on State of Mind.

Also known as Chloe Mitchell on The Young and the Restless, the actress worked with Benard on General Hospital. She played the role of Margaux Dawson while Benard portrayed Sonny Corinthos. The actor shared that he believed Hendrickson had a real shot at being a great and effective partner for his mobster character. He added that he’s had a lot of fun working with her and it was a shame that she had to go.

Hendrickson was touched by what Benard said and joked if his guests had to cry at the start of his show. She then continued to say that Benard was the biggest surprise for her during her time with General Hospital, especially because she was hired in an instant.

She had to portray the role of a lawyer, which she’s never done before and she considered the experience as the hardest thing she’s ever done in her career. Benard commended her for a job well done but Hendrickson revealed that she was extremely nervous that time. However, she thought of it as the best challenge she’s ever done.

Hendrickson went on to reveal that she never expected to work with Benard and she feels so fortunate for having the opportunity. Her time on General Hospital may be short lived but she admitted that she won’t change a thing because she got to work with Benard.

Hendrickson was born in New York City but grew up in Long Island. She admitted that she had a very loving family but they were, unfortunately, a divided family. Her mother had her when she was very young and her parents divorced when she was 1 year old. Her father was an addict and was in and out of her life until she was in college. She started acting out when she was about 15 years old. She had sleeping and drinking problems. Her mom had her see a therapist. She didn’t like the first 3 therapists but she eventually warmed up to her mom’s therapist, who she said helped save her from herself.
