The Young and The Restless spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is in the hospital fighting for her life and it doesn’t look good for her this week on The Young and The Restless!

Victoria Newman Was Stabbed By Ripley Turner, Who Thought She Was Amanda Sinclair

The promo starts with some flashback scenes; viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Victoria was stabbed by Ripley Turner, (Christian Keyes) who thought she was Amanda Sinclair, (Mishael Morgan) because of similar clothing and that Amanda had previously been talking to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) in the new art and photography installation honoring Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that had been built by Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) and also because the lights were in a dark mode, and Victoria’s back was to him.

He ran in, stabbed her quickly in the side, then ran out as Billy caught her after she collapsed. She had been telling him to leave, and actually accused him of stabbing her before he fell. Then Ripley met Amanda on his way out, and he knew he had attacked the wrong person and fled, although Amanda told Detective Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Chief Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) about their encounter and they went on the hunt for Ripley. Victoria is rolled into the hospital in a stretcher, and then operated on to repair her lacerated liver and lung, and put in a hospital bed in the ICU.

Family And Friends Discuss The Tragedy

Victoria’s family and friends gather at the hospital and discuss the tragedy, with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) telling someone at Society that “Vic is in the hospital, fighting for her life!” The scene reverts to the hospital where Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), concerned, stand outside the operating room with the rest of the Newman family waiting on news. Nikki Newman, (Melody Thomas Scott) trying very hard to hold it together, says Victoria is critical, and she’s not getting any better, and in a medically induced coma, as she and her husband, Victor hug and Nick and Noah look on with sad, concerned faces.

A shot of Abby, then of Billy in Victoria’s room, worrying over her as she lies unconscious is shown, and Nikki, in the waiting room, starts to lose it as she cries, and tells Victor not to tell her everything will be all right, because nothing about this is all right! Then there is another shot of Billy, crying over Victoria as he visits her in her hospital room.

Victoria Newman Lost A Lot Of Blood

Victoria was put into the medically induced coma to give her weakened body a chance to heal – she had lost a lot of blood by the time she got to surgery, and she had two major organs that had to be repaired, her liver and one of her lungs. That is a difficult surgery to heal, especially when the patient has already lost a lot of blood, and she came very close to death. Her family and friends understand that part but it doesn’t lessen the worry if she’s going to survive, and it doesn’t make the pain and the fear any easier to deal with!
