The Young And The Restless: Jack Abbott The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal Jack Abbott continuing to shut Phyllis Summers out of his life when after all this time, he really should just love her for who she is.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack bbott Pursued Phyllis Newman

It was Jack (Peter Bergman) who decided Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) was the love of his life and that he only wanted Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) because she reminded him of his other Red. He pursued her, he was hurt when she friend-zoned him but understood about taking things slow. We thought it was finally time for Jack and Phyllis to get it right, but it’s Jack’s stubbornness that is all wrong.

Jack was thrilled when he and Phyllis became official again and slept together after Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) wedding. They were together for a whole 10 days or so until one argument with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) ruined the whole thing. Jack acted like he was surprised when he overheard Phyllis and Diane going at it, but why should he have been when he knows who was in love with and even wanted another version of her last year.

Y&R Spoilers – Why Would Jack Abbott Trust Diane?

Diane Jenkins is a woman who has done nothing but manipulate Jack for decades. She alienated so many people that she had to fake her own death and stay hidden for more than a decade and then made contact with him from a granddaughter he never knew he had and Jack seems to trust her more than Phyllis.

Yes, we all know Phyllis has hurt her share of people and what she put Christine Williams through at one time was insane, but she has grown and changed and does not do that to people anymore. Sure, she still plays her games, but she is not dangerous and Jack is the man who changed her life.

We could feel Phyllis’ exasperation when Jack stood there as calm as could be in the park telling her that she was all wrong when seeing nothing odd about any of Diane’s recent actions and the actions surrounding her fake death.

If Phyllis can accept Jack with all of his faults, why can’t Jack do the same for Phyllis? We’re not sure what he expected from her, but Phyllis certainly wasn’t expecting this from him. Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless weekdays to see how this story plays out.

      I find it strange that to bring Diane back from Dracula’s grave, they had to give Kyle and Jack Amnesia and they turned Summer into an unrecognizable daughter. Why doesn’t Summer go visit Nick and get the real story about what Diane did to her mother? That would at least help Summer to see the truth. Both her mother and her grandmother are trying to tell her but she refuses to listen to either of them. Maybe Nick can help her to see the truth and protect herself but sure as Diane is back, she will destroy Summer to get her away from Kyle. Diane wants total control. Summer is in her way.
