Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) is in love with Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) current wife doesn’t share that feeling yet but is interested in expanding the friendship she’s developed with Theo.

The rapid evaporation of ‘Kola’ stunned its fans. Kyle and Lola’s current pursuit of a divorce should enable ‘Tola’, or ‘Leo’ if one prefers, to have a chance. But Theo’s personality type and Lola’s dash of an anticipated trip to New York could spell trouble ahead.

Kyle and Lola had no idea that either person existed two years ago. But then, on one free will summer day, Kyle pressed the down button on the Jabot elevator. He arrived in the never-seen lobby, exited at lunchtime, and walked toward the street in the shadow of the building where Living La Vida’s business was booming.

The food truck attracted Kyle’s interest. The first time he saw Lola’s face, love bloomed. But, as it turned out, Mealor’s character came to believe that the relationship he and Lola shared, that included a legitimate marriage, never equaled his feelings for Summer Newman (Hunter King).

Y&R Spoilers – Skyle Holds Soul Mate Stature

It’s fair to critique Y&R’s decision to end ‘Kola’ as a means of rebooting ‘Skyle’. Fans of one couple aren’t necessarily crossover devotees of the other. In fact, a divide between them does exist.

Kyle was, without too much question, a more stable version of himself when he was married to Lola. He also seemed to hit his stride following their marriage, even including that Theo was agitating him at every turn.

Summer has surely righted herself since returning to Genoa City, Wisconsin, in 2018. Initially, King’s character was purposely out of control, attempting to prove that she wasn’t the stereotyped ‘Snowflake’ persona Mariah Copeland (Camry Grimes) dubbed her in the past.

Forcing Kyle to marry, in return for giving a portion of her liver to Lola, was Summer’s lowest point. That edition of ‘Skyle’ lasted for days, with Kyle ending the faux union. Lola then appeared to be his destiny before ‘Kola’ collapsed of its own weight.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Theo Vanderway Hasn’t Achieved Victory Yet

Theo and Summer never believed that Kyle and Lola were a good match. Their instincts were proven right. Kyle eventually admitted, under pressure from Theo and Lola, that he loved Summer more.

So, a clear path to Lola now exists. Theo is someone who Calle’s character finds appealing. Whether they become a couple remains up in the daytime air.
