The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) is in a much better personal place than he was in the recent past. Most importantly he survived the Thallium poisoning and reconciled with the woman he loves.

Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) view of Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) is diametrically opposed to what Rey now sees. He’s already figured out that Chelsea was lying about the Shadam penthouse, cavorting sessions. Knowing they never happened, Rey is left to wonder how much of what Egan’s character has said or is saying holds any value?

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) got what he wanted in a number of ways. First, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) was cleared as a suspect. Second, Chelsea admitted her crimes.

Along with the above, Chelsea is off-centered. So, her agreement to go along with Victor’s plan, in hopes of avoiding jail time by hamming up her mental issues, also means that she is now confined in a mental institution. How long lock-down lasts is yet to be known.

Y&R Spoilers – Rey Rosales Seeks Stability And Justice

Rey simply wants to trust and love his wife. It appears as though Adam’s choice to focus on business, rather than Chelsea and Sharon, should enable Shey to exist for an extended period of time.

Anyone would want the person who was the poisoner to face justice. But Rey is conflicted because Chelsea appears to be out of control. It’s natural for him to believe that her stroke, which led to an extended period of paralysis and inability to speak, combined with being tormented by Adam, would have driven Chelsea over the edge.

So, it’s possible that Rey will be impacted by Chelsea’s demeanor. But her erratic behavior is generally an act.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Major Kudos To Melissa Claire Egan

Egan’s turn as silent Chelsea was fully memorable. The actor basically used her eyes and the hint of facial expressions for many episodes to communicate a series of emotions before the internal dialogue began to be offered for the fans. The actor could have been a solid Daytime Emmy award competitor on that portion of her work alone.

Now, Egan, who is expecting a child in August, is playing another character within a character through her projection of all-things Chelsea. She is giving Victor what he wants, playing wacky for Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Rey, while also revealing to the audience that she still intends to pay back Sharon and Adam.

It’s strongly arguable that Egan’s past months of performances rank with the best of her entire solid runs on Y&R. She first joined the cast in 2011.
