The Young And The Restless: Summer Newman (Hunter King) The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Summer Newman (Hunter King) isn’t sure about marrying Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) just yet. The intended Skyle reboot, via elopement, was delayed, or derailed. Full details will soon be supplied to Y&R’s audience.

Meanwhile, Kyle is uncertain what Summer is thinking. Thankfully, she sent a text to his dad. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) told Kyle that he’d heard from Summer, whose request for a leave of absence at Jabot means that a period of limbo has begun.

Everything seemed good when they left Genoa City, Wisconsin. Kyle and Summer appeared set to complete their elopement on the faux business trip.

But King’s character offered a reaction shot after stepping out of Kyle’s sight that confirmed her heart wasn’t in this plan. Kyle woke up the next morning and Summer wasn’t there. She left a generic note that caused him to worry and wonder if he’d done something wrong, or if she had been withholding her true feelings.

Y&R Spoilers – Summer Newman Makes A Wise Choice

Summer has been acting far more mature in recent months, which includes her bolt from the hotel room where she and Kyle were staying out of town. This recently revived couple was moving far too quickly even before Kyle secured his official divorce from Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle).

While the idea of circumventing their loved ones and friends seemed enticing at the time, Summer obviously decided that she needed to apply the brakes. Intriguingly, she’s been following Kyle around GC since he returned. He hasn’t seen her yet, with a newspaper and interesting disguise keeping her concealed from Kyle. But Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) did bust her.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Skyle Destined, Or Headed For Another Fail?

This storyline felt rushed, which makes Summer’s actions believable. As for Kyle, he didn’t want to rush into marrying Summer more than a year ago, as Lola’s health drove his impulse nuptial request back then.

Skyle has a deep history, with both characters sincerely caring about the other. Summer isn’t in love with anyone else and Kyle truly seems to be over Lola, who sadly proved to be a rebound from Summer.

Maybe they still marry if this bump in the road is repaired. Then again, maybe Skyle isn’t destined to wed?
