All evidence is purely circumstantial at this point. Victor’s spotting of his father in the photo Dina (Marla Adams) stored in a lock box doesn’t represent a confirmation of anything. Instead, it’s part of an evolving arc that has taken Jack on a month’s-long adventure.
Abby (Melissa Ordway) told her uncle that she would post the black and white image on her social media account, which has over one hundred thousand followers. If this switch happens, Jack would become Abby’s uncle through Albert when he previously was considered that through John (Jerry Douglas), who isn’t her mother’s biological father. In a wink to real life, Mrs. Ordway-Gaston sports the same follower range on her most populated social media destination.
Within that decade’s-old photo are the faces of numerous men adoring Dina at a Genoa City country club. Phillip Chancellor II (Donnelly Rhodes), Neil Fenmore (Jim Storm), and Stuart Brooks (Robert Colbert), prominent characters on Y&R in the 1970’s, appear in that picture. To-date, Phillip and Neil have been ruled out as Jack’s possible dad. But another man who appears, Albert, hasn’t been identified, or addressed until now.

The Albert character didn’t actually first appear on the show until 2003 and was later referenced in 2010. So, GC’s history is being reimagined, as has been the bent of so many soap opera writing staffs within this genre.
@malyoung has changed & trashed Jack’s history, now spoilers for next week say that next Mal will now mess with Victor’s history. Jack will think Albert Miller is his Dad & allow him access to Newman & Victor’s 💸. Let’s not let Mal further destroy Bell’s #YR! Tweet your opinion! pic.twitter.com/7T1UjEs9z3

There is a contingent of longtime fans who are expressing their displeasure with the theory that Jack might not be an Abbott. That is understandable, as people make connections with characters they’ve long known, with deep knowledge of the fictional personality’s histories being an earned distinction. If Jack’s backstory is altered and he morphs from an Abbott to a Miller, so much of what fans knew might then feel lost.
However, Victor’s fear and that of some fans has not yet been verified. It’s all conjecture at this point. A fall climax should deliver the answer that Jack, an increasing number of GC residents, and all Y&R fans need to know.
