Victor’s (Eric Braeden) New Year’s wish for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is realized in a way he didn’t expect on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Instead of flying her off to an unknown location, with Dr. Hastings (Brooks Darnell) aboard the Newman jet, the ‘Moustache’ was grounded and arrested by Rey (Jordi Vilasuso). That allows Nikki to receive normal care at Genoa City’s Memorial Hospital.
As Y&R fans know, but Christine (Lauralee Bell) refuses to believe, Victor is innocent of all charges. He didn’t kill J.T. (Thad Luckinbill), his “baby” did. The pet name Victor uses for Nikki is sweet and underscores their nearly forty year romantic connection in daytime.
Regardless of all earned scorn the ‘Black Knight’ has received from Nikki, ‘Niktor’s’ children, GC residents, and some viewers, Victor was bravely trying to protect his wife from harm. He didn’t know that Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) was responsible for running Nikki down in the street earlier this month and believed some maniac was targeting Thomas Scott’s character for death.
As will be seen, Nikki is regaining her strength within the safe walls of Y&R’s hospital room setting. However, a real threat still exists, as whoever has been targeting her and the coverup crew remains at large.
Nikki will not allow Victor to take the fall for her accidental actions in mid-April, 2018. That was the fateful period where Mr. Hellstrom went nuts, verbally lambasted Vickie (Amelia Heinle), attacked her physically, and appeared to be ready to do worse when Nikki, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), and Sharon (Sharon Case) hurried up the stairs and came upon that now infamous scene.

It will take awhile, but Christine’s passioned efforts to put Victor behind bars will fail. She’ll again be proven wrong about the head of Newman Enterprises, who she and Paul (Doug Davidson) previously attempted to lock up using J.T.’s pressured help.
Yes, after all these many months, it appears as though Y&R is in the process of wrapping up this long, complex, and mostly compelling arc. Kudos, in advance, for an anticipated satisfying January 2019 climax.

Not compelling at all! Boring as Hell, ridiculously predictable, and totally absurd! This JT story arc never should have started and must end immediately! JT is alive anyway… No murder happened! He is the one framing the women…
I totally agree with you on this, I can’t wait for it to end.
It hasn’t been my favorite story line. It’s gone on way too long, Paul has gone MIA, New people are added randomly, and for long time Y&R watchers, it’s a debacle. I hope the showgo a back to its roots.
