CBS The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that this week fans were treated to the debut episode of the CBS sudser as a part of its ongoing airing of encore episodes. In the episode, the character of Snapper Foster was introduced and he was featured throughout.
The character is no longer on the show but it’s clear that he was a prominent character that has fans wondering, who is Snapper?

The Young And The Restless spoilers – Who Was Snapper Foster?
William Gray Espy debuted in the role on March 26, 1973, and continued to portray Snapper until 1975 at which time Baywatch heartthrob David Hasselhoff took over the role.
In the beginning, Y&R focused on two main families, the well-off Brooke’s and the struggling Fosters. Today the only member of the Foster family who remains on the canvas is Jill Foster Abbott (Jess Walton).
When Snapper was introduced he was attending medical school, and the name Snapper came from his propensity to snap at people!
Y&R Spoilers – Snapper Foster Had A Chip On His Shoulder
Snapper’s dad left the family to fend for themselves which led to him being the one to take over, resulting in a sizable chip on his shoulder. Snapper helped his mom, Liz who worked in a factory, he put his brother Greg through law school and he kept a close watch on feisty beautician Jill Foster.
In the beginning, lower-class Snapper was attracted to a waitress named Sally but well aware of the attention paid to him by a member of the Brooks family, Chris. Over the years these three formed an ongoing love triangle.
In 1981 Chris and Snapper had a daughter but shortly thereafter a scorned Sally appeared with Snapper’s love child causing the obvious complications.

Sally came back for treatment of their ill son but in the end, Sally and Snapper made their peace and she left town with their child.

Later, Snapper himself left town, and a few months later Chris joined him. In 2010, Snapper and his mom visited Genoa City. When she took ill, she confessed to him on her deathbed that Jill was adopted, setting off a chain of events in which she sought the truth about her parentage.

Bring Snapper back! He and Jill could have a nice story and he would straighten out Billy as a male role model.
Definitely! I remember when David Hasselhorf played Snapper. But I don’t remember all the story. It would be great!
