Young and the Restless Day Ahead Spoilers Tuesday, January 1: Christine Arrests Victor – Victoria and Cane Kiss – Nick Refuses To Help Rey

“Young and the Restless” (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, January 1, 2018, reveal the episode begins with Victor (Eric Braeden), Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Nate (Brooks Darnell) sitting in individual jail cells.

Y&R Spoilers Rey Is Not Convinced Christine Is Making the Best Moves

Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) meets with Christine (Lauralee Bell), who isn’t convinced this is their best shot; he says the risks are very worthwhile. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) calls for a nurse but a GCPD officer comes in, informing her she cannot have a phone as per Rey’s orders. Nikki attempts to climb out of bed, but falls back in pain.

Young and The Restless Spoilers Rey Has Nick, Victor and Nate Locked Up

Rey mocks the three world travelers, Nick wants a lawyer as Victor demands to know where Nikki is and if anything happens to her, Rey is in trouble. Rey mentions the irony as Victor was the one who abducted a woman who was in fragile condition and those are serious charges. Christine informs them that she can hold them for 72 hours, giving them time to investigate the allegations. Nate is shocked, as he has a job and patients. Rey tells him if he cared so much about his patients, he shouldn’t have gotten arrested. Rey assures Victor that they do not lock up victims and she is getting the care she needs.

Y&R Spoilers Victoria Tells Billy Reed Ran Over Nikki

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) leaves an urgent message for Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu), telling him not to say anything and she will come to him. Billy (Jason Thompson) arrives, agreeing to watch the kids as Victoria reveals it was Reed who hit her mother because Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) was too drunk to drive. Meanwhile, Cane (Daniel Goddard) slowly wakes up from his drunken night at Devon’s (Bryton James), who hands him a coffee, saying he looks like death. Devon tells him that the kids made sure Sam was okay, as Cane feels guilty believing he is a terrible brother-in-law.

Young and The Restless Victor Tells Nick Rey is Playing A Game

Rey asks if Nikki signed herself out of the hospital, clearly the air by revealing that under state law, removing a patient from a hospital, without that person or hospital’s consent, it is considered kidnapping even if she is Victor’s wife. Rey tells him that Nikki was the responsibility of Memorial hospital. Rey taunts them about being Victor’s minions. Christine says they are looking at abduction, conspiracy which are the big ones. Nick wants their lawyers but Victor tells him not to worry about it as the ambitious young detective is playing a game with them. Nick and Victor don’t want lawyers as Nate is brought in first for questioning after he also refuses.

Rey knows Nate wasn’t the architect of all of this. He knows how easy it would be sucked in to Victor’s strong power. Rey takes about going to prison as Nate says he took an oath and took care of his patient; Rey reminds him that cops also have oaths but Nate says health and safety will go unapologetic, so wherever his patient goes, he went too. Rey wonders how any of this sounded like a good idea. Nate says there was no way he was going to let her go without medical supervision; so if this is where they are, so be it. He knows he is Rey’s pawn, but all Nate knows is he is keeping him from his patient and the only one making Nikki a victim right now is Rey.

Y&R Cane Admits He Misses Lily

Devon says Cane has a lot to deal with, and gets a pass on the night since everyone got drunk on NYE. Cane admits that he misses Lilly (Christel Khalil) and just wanted one night to forget about it. Devon says Lily will come back in the fall, but Cane tells him it is only January 1st. Devon tells him to think of the long haul as she will get home. Cane doesn’t get how Lily changes, but both know he loves Lily and Devon promises that Lily will always love him and be in his life so he needs to adjust to the new Lily.

Young and The Restless Victor Accuses Christine Of Wasting Tax Payers Money

Victor argues with Christine about wasting tax payers’ money and she is slipping. She wants them brought back to their cells as Nick reminds her they are not common criminals. Christine reminds him this is not common, but she guesses that is the Newman spin on things. Victoria rushes in, as her dad and brother are taken away. Christine goes to speak with Nate, while Rey tells Victoria that her mother is under a doctor’s care at Memorial. Victoria wants to know why Nate is there but Rey says it is none of her business.

She presses and Rey tells her that the three men have been arrested as they were found with Nikki. She tells him she was there looking for Reed, but its obvious he hadn’t been there. Rey assures her that Nikki is safe but can’t say the same about her father. He wants more answers from her but she tells him to arrest her then.

Victoria is denied access to Nikki, who is in protective custody. A nurse comes out, and Victoria is able to see that Nikki is okay. She informs her mom that Victor and Nick are at the GCPD and they need her help; the officer quickly closes the door as Victoria promises her boss won’t get away with this. Nikki looks worried from her bed.

Y&R Spoilers Christine Agrees To Let Nate See Nikki

Christine tells Nate that his loyalty is misplaced. Nate says this is about Victor Newman, not him. Christine says Rey is sympathetic to Nate’s situation but her side is the law side and he was part of the kidnapping. Nate reiterates that his only concern is about his patient. Christine reminds him that Nikki is being taking care of and wonders who is taking care of his best interests. Christine agrees to bring Nate to examine Nikki as Rey takes Nick in for questioning.

Young and The Restless Spoilers Nick Refuses To Help Rey

Rey felt they were on the same page last night as Nick asks him where they went wrong? Nick is in handcuffs and tells Rey if he wants to hear about Victor, as Nick says all Rey wants to hear was how rough his life was with a father like Victor. Rey prefers to see Nick as a witness for the prosecution. Nick wonders if it is about the kidnapping or something more serious and tells Rey that he is not helping him!

Christine watches as Nate checks on Nikki, telling her not to play hero and if she feels pain to inform the nurse. She looks confused when Nate tells her he is facing attempting kidnapping charges. He will try to catch up the on-call doctor, but when Christine wants to question Nikki; Nate tries to protect her but Nikki assures Nate she is fine.

Nikki confronts Christine about the abduction charges, but Christine says she feels sorry for Nick and Nate; because Victor doesn’t care who he takes down with him. Nikki reminds her that her case would rely on her being the kidnapping victim and that never happened. Nikki says she pleaded for Victor to get her out of the hospital and she left of her own free will.

Y&R Spoilers Billy Tells Victoria Not To Worry About Nick and Victor

Victoria returns home, telling Billy everything she has learned. Billy encourages her to slow down as her mother is fine and her dad is back; even if he is in custody. He reminds her that Nick and Victor can handle themselves but he wants to know more about the Reed situation. She firmly believes that Reed and Charlie would have never left Nikki there had they known. She doesn’t know what to do as she wanted to tell Rey this to get in front of it.

Billy says it is a felony hit and run and Reed needs to own up to it. Victoria feels if she tells Rey, she will be ending Reed’s life as he knows it. Billy can’t understand how Victoria is being like this, considering how they lost Delia but she doesn’t consider it to be the same thing. Billy feels that Reed spinning out is a good thing but he needs to own up to it. Victoria says he is just a kid and not even gone to college yet.

Victoria wants to find Cane to see how he is handling this with Charlie; both wondering if he even knows. Billy isn’t defending Cane, but he is also dealing with his wife being in prison for a car accident. He wants to go with Victoria but she tells him to leave when the babysitter gets there. He promises to always be there for Victoria and hugs her.

Young and The Restless Nikki Newman Tells Christine Victor Saved Her

Nikki tells Christine how it was Victor who brought her back to life on Christmas Eve; it is right in the medical charts. She blames Christine that she has made it her life mission to take down Victor for the last few years and she knows the GCPD is desperate to blame Victor for JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) death, so she panicked and told Victor they would leave the country together and work on clearing his name from there.

Christine doubts that Nikki woke up from a coma and formulated the plan and tells her no one will believe this; Nikki insists she is not anyone’s victim and if she pursues this, Nikki suspects Nick and Nate will sue her and it definitely isn’t worth it. Christine applauds her on the performance and leaves to deal with it. She finds Devon talking to his cousin, Nate, threatening to bring GC Buzz in within minutes but Christine says she is releasing Nate and he got lucky because he got what he wanted.

Y&R Victoria Newman Calls Cane Ashby Weak

Victoria and Cane argue about what happened, as she questions whether Cane even knows his children at all. Victoria tells Cane that it wasn’t a mere accident, it was a felony hit and run. She says Charlie is exactly like Cane – lying and covering things up. She brings up Juliette, the Brash n Sassy part and gets louder and louder as Cane throws dirt back at her and her parenting. She calls Cane he is weak and cowardly, taking people down with him. She likes Lily as she is brave and tough and pities her coming back to him.

Reys Suggests They Arrest Victor For JT’s Death

Rey and Christine sense all three knew what their end goal was. Rey feels they have nothing, but suggests they pivot; suggesting they bring Victor in for JT’s homicide. Christine says they don’t have a body which doesn’t give them a time of death. Rey says they work with what they have and build the case as they go. He insists that time is running out and if they let Victor go, this will be the last time they see him.

Cane and Victoria Kiss

Victoria wants to know how Cane is handling how Lily puts up with him. She throws his spiraling in his face. Cane thinks Victoria is just jealous of their solid marriage, pointing out all the husbands and boyfriends she’s had through the years. He says that JT probably isn’t dead, simply ran away after Victoria didn’t take him back. She says JT was a liar and probably a man he admires. Cane thinks she can go on, because she believes everyone is as cold and empty as she is. Victoria and Cane grab each other’s face and begin to kiss.

Christine Charges Victor With Murder

Rey releases Nick who expects an apology. Rey says they have reassessed the information and changing it. Rey suggests Nick leaves as they process Victor. Rey wants to know if Christine is ready to get this over with and they enter the interrogation room, informing Victor that Nikki made it very clear she was not kidnapped. She charges Victor with the murder of JT Hellstrom and Rey reads him his rights.
