CBS The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that daytime drama legend Eric Braeden’s (Victor Newman) mandatory staycation has come to an end—he is rumored to begin filming scenes for the sudser starting this week.

According to our insider at CBS, production is back in business as of today and a constellation of major stars will began taping tomorrow, July 14. The rumored first string to return to work includes Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman), Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman), Mark Grossman (Adam Newman) and Sharon Case (Sharon Newman).

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Eric Braeden Is Reported To Be On Set This Week

Our source is telling us that Braeden has been tapped to return to work this Thursday. The word is that for now, the older actors will film scenes apart from the rest of the cast. The cast is returning to work following a four-month hiatus that was prompted by the coronavirus pandemic.

In mid-March film and television production across the globe came to a screeching halt as the world confronted the deathly reality of COVID-19. Filming was halted as a precautionary measure against the spread of the virus and global productions are slowly beginning to restart.

Y&R spoilers – Will Taping Begin This Week As Reported?

Due to his age, Braeden is in what is considered a high-risk group for contracting the virus. Which is why he will not shoot scenes with the rest on his onscreen family when they reportedly come back to the set tomorrow.

Most film productions have mandated that mature actors take special precautions so it is not causing alarm that Braeden is filming separately. The British soap Coronation Street returned to filming this month but without any plans to have its older actors on set. One of its veteran actors, Bill Roache, has predicted that it won’t be until fall that the mature members of the cast are allowed back in the studio.
