The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Camryn Grimes, who plays Mariah Copeland, is included in the cast for an upcoming short film.

The CBS sudser star will be in 2020, said to be a parody; can this year get any more bizarre? According to a tweet from director and writer Stephen Ford, the project is a “short film parody and a love letter to 1917… but about 2020.”

Jennifer McDonnell is also a producer and in addition to Grimes the cast includes Colton Eschief Mastro, Michael Lieberman, Teresa Jefferson, Monica Abhat, and Josh Han.  The film is expected to be released in 2021. There is no word yet on Grimes’ character but as soon as we have the details we’ll let you know!

Fans are wondering when and if Grimes’ character Mariah Copeland will get a breakout story of her own on the CBS show. For quite a while now she seems to be drifting in and out of other characters’ plots. This week we saw her listen to Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) moan and groan about her love life or lack thereof. How Mariah stayed awake during the snooze fest is anyone’s guess.

Recently she has also listened to Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) talk about his side of the story regarding his relationship with Lola. Surely there is more such a sensational and unique character as Mariah can do?

With her partner Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) flitting in and out of the picture, Mariah has been helping her mom in her fight against cancer. Maybe after Sharon’s story wraps, Mariah will find herself involved in a meaty story of her own.
