Young & The Restless Spoilers – Sean Carrigan’s First Time To Portray A Real Person
Carrigan said, “This is probably my first time playing a real person.”
“I did a little research. He was a helluva racer who raced the circuit all the way back to Watkins Glen and worked is way all the way up to racing on the Ford team at Le Mans,” he added.
The story is about an engineer and a race car driver, portrayed by Matt Damon and Christian Bale, as they help Ford to defeat Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race.
Y&R Spoilers – Cool and Professional Co-stars
Carrigan described his co-stars as “extremely professional and really cool.”
“I shot over in France with Christian Bale and that was at the beginning of the photography of the film. They shot in France for a week. And then in the last few weeks, we shot out in Fontana, CA at the racetrack there.
It was when the Dodgers were playing the Red Sox in the World Series, so Matt Damon and I were going back and forth about it because he’s a Red Sox fan and I was going for the Dodgers. So in between takes, we were talking smack to each other about the World Series. It was fun!” he continued.
Young & The Restless Spoilers – Sean Carrigan Sits Behind A Real Race Car
Carrigan didn’t really drive the race car but being able to sit behind the wheel of an actual race car is something that he’ll remember for the rest of his life.
During the incredible experience, Carrigan was placed in what’s referred to as a biscuit. “You’re in an actual race car, but the front axle is attached to the rear of a turbo-charged truck that’s being controlled by an actual race car driver,” he explained.
He added that it looked like he’s driving thanks to the four cameras placed on the hood. All the other races are racing around him and they all have headsets. All of their movements were choreographed and they can all hear their stunt coordinator give them orders on what to do next.
’We’re going to go high up on this turn, and then you come down low…’ It’s like he’s directing a little auto symphony, you know? It was one of the funniest things I’ve ever done. It was extremely exhilarating,” he enthused.
