Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam Newman Could Be Cleared In Delia’s Death – Time For Billy And Chloe To Move On

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) unauthorized restraint by Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), which is also known as being kidnapped, doesn’t mean that she’ll be defeated. Like Adam, Chloe has at least nine lives. As she endures her current one, Hendrickson’s dynamic character can be positioned to actually neutralize Adam and vice versa.

Okay, so Adam can expose the fact that Chloe is alive and send her to prison for the crimes she committed against him. The deadly count stood at one, with that being the September 2016 cabin blast, but then moved to two when she shot him at the tack house a handful of weeks ago.

However, Adam only thinks of Chloe as a continued threat to his life because he believes she feels justified. His accidental run-down of Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) in October 2013, when Adam looked like Michael Muhney, was followed by Justin Hartley’s turn as this character at that setting that went boom in the woods three years ago.

It would be great, for all involved and to push this nearly six-year arc along, if Adam can be cleared in Delia’s death. That doesn’t imply some philosophical forgiveness, but instead new evidence surfacing that proves another driver was guilty of hitting Chloe and Billy Abbott’s (as now played by Jason Thompson) daughter.

All known evidence that exists, which includes the remnants of Delia’s clothing being found (by Adam) under the wheel well of that infamous black sport utility vehicle, never has and doesn’t represent proof of a crime. That material could have been picked up by Adam’s vehicle as he drove past the accident scene that had already happened.

As all savvy soap fans know, historical plot lines can be adjusted at any time because escapist entertainment isn’t based on hard and fast truths. In keeping with that theme, here’s hoping that Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and his team uncover something that busts the long-held beliefs about Adam.

Having Chloe realize this type of arc-changing truth would also allow Hendrickson’s’ character to move past the scratch in this plot record. Repeating revenge scenarios with Adam was understandable, but now can be advanced.

Y&R’s presentation of Adam would radically shift if he’s no longer the condemned man. Chloe could release her unlimited rage and be freed to focus on Bella Mitchell (Cali May Kinder), the child she and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) share.

Who knows, maybe Adam will even be involved in proving who Delia’s killer actually is, or was? There’s always that chance, wink.
